All bedrooms done bar DS2's as he was doing AS coursework.
Fire lit
Lunch dished out to everyone.
Time for a cuppa and to finish a few jobs then to get the cake made ready for a lovely afternoon of chatting. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
In my HHC with Sunnygirl I
- whizzed round the house with the Dys0n
- S&S'd the kitchen
- S&S'd the bathroom
- paired and put away socks that had dried overnight on the radiator
- put away cake tins from yesterday teatime's baking session (first one I've done for ages!)
- fed and watered the birds: the robin sat on the fence 6 ft away from me and whistled to make sure that I gave him his buggy nibbles and mealworms, then flew down to help himself before I'd even moved away
- checked online for a way to get rid of a white heat mark on the coffee table, and tried mayonnaise, which has made some improvement
- decluttered toast and marmalade whilst reading my emails and downloading and printing off a document that I need to read through over lunch
- did a final check of all the rooms before estate agent 2 arrived.
One more agent is due this afternoon, and the two valuations so far have been £400K apart  I don't want to have the house sitting on the market for months, but nor do I want to let it go for a ridiculously low price if I could have got a bit more. Hopefully agent 3 will come somewhere in between the others and have at least as good a marketing strategy as each of the other agents claims to offer. NB: I am a cynic where estate agents are concerned
But the one thing that both agents have commented on is the cleanliness of the house and lack of clutter - for this I give all the credit to the Flyladies :T:T:T:T:T
Newbies, if you love this thread half as much as I do and enjoy all the support given and received here, you will find your home will undergo a steady transformation that will make you smile
Bossymoo, I meant to say earlier that I thought the picture of your DD in her football kit was great :T
(((Hugs))) and get-well vibes for everyone who needs them, especially pigpen, pigpen's dad, Dusty's FiL and LW and all teachers and school assistants who have to go back to work next week.0 -
 [STRIKE]Morning[/STRIKE] Afternoon flyladies and flygents.
Ready for a lurk with copious amounts of tea (courtesy of DD3 who is on tea making duty today as I was on an all nighter in Daisy-the -cow mode)
I will get round to crossing off the list at some point today
, as I feel like I have done nothing, but I have done some things but my sieve brain cannot retain it.
Note to newbies MrsHunter and Dincanada if you do come back on and cross stuff off your list everyday it really does help, success breeds success when you see the list getting smaller and smaller, and every week will get easier and easier
But if you are having an off day/week still come, lurk and post especially if you have a nasty job (a frog) that you don't want to do/want some advice on how to clean something as everyone here has been in a similar place at one time or another and you will find advice and encouragement.
Right, lurking has to wait, time to reinstate Daisy mode as Skint Baby is awake and chewing her fists off :eek:The cold never bothered me anyway0 -
Good afternoon

A little flying done here. I have stripped the bed & the bedding is in the WM. I have also cleaned the upstairs bathroom and chucked some stuff down the downstairs toilet.
Next, I am going to clean downstairs toilet & basin then maybe look at some paperwork (boring!) The dog will also need a walk and it is FREEZING!! The dog doesn't seem to care how cold it is!

Hmmmm, not a lot off the list this week, although quite a few financial frogs consumed....time now to indoctrinate Skint Baby in the Church of Duran Duran and to leave a gift at the alter of Bon Jovi by means of music at an acceptable volume :rotfl: I cannot clean at sloth speed to either one:p

£400K apart? Where do you live? Buckingham Palace? My entire pad is probably worth £200K.......:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
DD2 has talked to the Police and has got her crime number. The insurance company have yet to get back to her.
She has gone to meet a mate in town - she looks pale and stressed and my heart goes out to her...:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -

Oops - pressed the "0" button once too often. It should have been "£40K"
No, we don't live in Buck House (don't think I could fly round there!)
£40K is still a heck of a difference on the prices quoted. Do estate agents actually know what they're doing?0 -

I was thinking the same thing, but didn't want to sound too vulgarly envious.
Frogs on toast, grilled frogs, frogs a la tadpole, sauted frogs, frog pie and frog souffle at this end of the country.Better is good enough.0 -

I suppose I should have guessed!
Estate agents? Know what they are doing? Not in my experience!
Have you looked at what other houses in your area are going for?:jFlylady and proud of it:j0
