Bagging a bargain UK hotel from Londontown.com

TAZ
Rates to go conditions usually involve an admin charge for cancelling so it wont be included.
What hotel is it?0 -
Danubius Hotel Regents Park
i'm lost now i just want a decent hotel as cheap as possible somewhere near the bakerloo or metro lunderground lines so we can get into london centre and to wembley without too much hassle.0 -
When you book hotels you need to remember that LondonTown and Expotel and Venere and SOME others allow you to book THROUGH them. You are actually buying from the hotel itself and this often allows decent cancellation times without charge. When you book through Rates to go and some others you are actually buying from that company and not the hotel. Cheap (sometimes) but will never have the same conditions of cancellation and so will not be comparable for the guarantee0

thank you for letting me know, i am actually really worried about booking this which is why i have left it so late, don't know why just something won't let me book it.
you wouldn't think i was a grown mother of 5, i feel like a little kid about booking a hotel0 -
Taz, I had a quick look at my usual trusty sites. Nothig that can compare with londontown.com - at least not with the same conditions etc. Sorry0

Try premier travel inn or travelodge if all you want is a bed for the night0
-
Taz, that sounds like a winner - I compared hotel prices for Danubius Regents Park and found that Active and laterooms also have it at £198 - and they are definitely on the LT deal.

Londontown's cancellation policy for that hotel is before 2pm on the day without cancellation fee. Active hotels and laterooms both require a 1 day minimum cancellation or you get charged. I doubt if they will allow you to compare it. Having said that, £198 for a nice hotel for two days isn't bad0 -
Taz, don't be frightened about booking. If you are not confident on the web try phoning and asking their best price. If it's because you are worried about paying too much well .... even a very basic IBIS (lorry drivers hotel) will cost you £95 a night at or near Wembley. Good luck. Personally, if it is just to lay your head I think you can't beat premier travel inn. They are scrupulously clean, rooms are a good size. No service but that is not always what you are after0

If I was you Id go for the £26 pn option + get the tube/public transport to Wembley. Youll actually struggle to get anywhere with value near Wembley anyway i reckon.
However if you want to Price match LT for a nice 4*
try Thistle Bloomsbury Park. specifically TWIN ROOM.
LT price rm only £317
Booking.com price £237
so it would effectively cost you £137 after refund
Dont worry TAZ
Remember if they KB it you can cancell without penalty up to 2 hrs b4 arrival. Its a win win situation0
