I envy those who genuinely enjoy their work.

I on the other hand clock watch and fantasise about locking my manager in the store cuboard, swallowing the key and not letting her out till nature takes its course.

    One day.

Me too. I want to find that one job that makes me wanna spring outta bed in the morning.

I could never envy someone elses life. even spoilt little rich girls and boys have their problems! nobodies life is trouble free - and fame and fortune brings it own downside.
to envy someones life means you are unhappy with your own - so it is down to you to change it - you are the only one who can.

Sadly, not everything can just be changed.

People who can easily conceive and carry to term healthy children. Right now it's not something that's happening for me.
But I know one day I'll have my children whichever way they come into my life and I know that I'm very lucky for all I have already x

I envy people that still have their mums... I lost my mum a year ago when she died within a month of being diagnosed with a brain tumour. Eating out, ahopping, Mothers Day etc ... I sometimes see people with their mums and just wish it was me.

My dad died when I was 21 and my mum died last year. Like you I do sometimes envy people who have their parents. I do envy people who have their parents there for those big life events.
  • I envy people whose husbands want to do things with them, and create wonderful family memories. My ex never wanted to do things if he didn't fancy them, so I did things with my mum and my sister instead. My girls still had a lovely time, but I always wish they had a dad who had wanted to do things with them.
  • I envy people who can walk into a room and command everyone's attention. These are the people who have the balls to achieve what they want in life, be it financially or personally.
I, on the other hand, are a bit of a doormat, who doesn't have the confidence to aim high and stand up for myself!
Not important, I know. But I know so many strong personalities, I see what can be achieved.

Try faking it sometime... really... go to a cosmetic counter and act like you deserve the painted lady's attention. She'll react to your body language - That's always good practice to those easily intimidated.

Next, go to a social event and just walk in, head high and smiling... walk into the centre of the room and say hello to people along the way.

You'll be surprised how easy it is to fake confidence... a lot of people are secretly cringing inside but are just good at covering it up.
    :hello:

I envy most of my old school friends on Facebook who have kids or who are pregnant - thats never going to be me.

I envy the same people and others on my Facebook who have gorgeous weddings and are happily married to husbands who love them. Again, that's not likely to ever be me.

I envy the girls I see down the rugby who are thin and pretty and who are the players girlfriends.. I really wish I could be like them. As above - I'm never going to be thin or pretty.

Theres a lot I'm envious of really... Sorry. I'm on a downer tonight...
