At the moment, I envy parents with toddlers who are speaking, asking for a 'bisky', or telling their Mummy that they 'wuv' them.
But I figure (and I see in this thread) that there are people out there who envy the fact that we have a child at all, even if he does have problems.:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

Like most of you, I consider myself generally very lucky - I have stable, rewarding work for a cause I am passionate about, I make enough money to support myself and others when needed, I'm in a loving relationship, I live overseas as I've always wanted and travel a fair bit. I'm young but very grown up in most ways.
But I envy everyone with stable mental health. I live my life in the specter of crushing depression that I know may come back and wipe me out anytime.Mortgage free by 30:eek:: £28,000/£100,000 Debt free as of 1 October, 2010 Debt free as of 1 October, 2010 Taking my frugal life on the road!0 Taking my frugal life on the road!0

I envy the man I see each morning as I am going to work, coming back from the news agents with a newspaper and a pint of milk.
I envy him because I have think he is retired and I so want to be going to get a newspaper to read over breakfast instead of going to work. Think I could do with the break after working for 39 yrs solid..............0

the only things that I envy are those which come naturally. So, a great voice, an ability to paint well, any sort of real talent I guess. Also, anyone who naturally has one of those "I eat anything and everything and never put on weight" constitutions. I have known 3 or 4 growing up. One was had trained as a ballet dancer when younger, but even after no longer training could just eat everything. She wasn't quite 5 foot but used to finish off peoples lunches for us, as well as have her own. She had the most incredible figure but ate more than any person I've ever met. Male or female. Now that I envy. I love food, but it does not love me back.0

I'm envious of anyone who has perfect health. I would give anything to just be able to go out at the drop of a hat without hours of panicing.
I'm also envious of anyone with a beautiful, large home. We live in a 2 up, 2 down which never looks anything as we are literally bursting at the seams.
And lastly, I adore my girls, they are my world but it really winds me up when people whinge on about never getting a break when there kids are alwats at grandparents etc. We don't have any family close so never get to go out together. Done friends just don't get it!0

I wish I didn't feel envy like some people don't :rotfl:
I envy people who are really relaxed and laid back about life (if I'm not worrying about something I really start worrying about it)
And those with the 'gift of the gab' - I always think that these people will always do well in whatever they do
I can't remember who called facebook 'brag book' - that made me chuckle. There's nothing wrong with being proud of your achievements, but some people seem to achieve boundless feats multiple times a day and it's not good for the self esteem of us mere mortals! I envy my sister being able to go back to visit our family more than I can afford to but she has worked very long hours to do so which I am unable to. She does come to visit me every year and we have good holiday together. I go home every 2 to 3 years for which I am grateful as some families don't even have the money to do that.0

I totally hear you on the worrying thing
No, nothing at all wrong with people being proud of their achievements but when it borders on the narcissistic, I'd rather leave it and hang around on here 0 0
