It's an 0843 number, I gave up after 35 minutes I have emailed the happytohelp@debenhams.com and I await a response. They have emailed me back with a ticket number.

Their response to me was they will pass it on to the appropriate dept at Debenhams flowers.

I'm not wasting any time or paying for an 0843 number. Off out now to enjoy the sun on the last day of half term.

peterauld has also confirmed that he paid for courier delivery and they were sent by Royal Mail instead, hence the late delivery. RM Tracked do take phone numbers, but they do not give out the drivers phone number-that is only done by other courier companies as I said earlier.

I have just spoken to Debenhams this morning and they are refunding to my card. They apologised for the non-delivery, and have further apologised for despatching the flowers by the wrong service which is apparently to blame for the flowers not being delivered on time.

I thought the flowers were sent late?

Is there a chance that only those that ordered through the MSE deal are affected, while those who paid full price are not?

In any case it is a disgrace and the company should send these flowers anyway and give full refund. They need to pay for their mistake.

I paid the full price. How stupid of me. Also, I don't think it was just a small number but a very large number of people who didn't get their flowers.

My wife didn't get the flowers yesterday and was pretty mad (as one might imagine).

To top it all, their phone system was 'down' (me think they didn't want to listen to irate customers and switched the thing off).

I am never going to deal with Arena flowers again.

• My boyfriend ordered some flowers through Seranta and I left work just before 5pm yesterday (gates are locked at 5.30pm). Bit peed off with him last night thinking he hadnt got me anything!

Anyway, 11.15am this morning a work colleague comes across a box that looks like it had been thrown over works fence. It had a Yodel delivery note attached to it saying they had left it at 6.15pm last night. The flowers arn't in a very good state given they've been left out all night and im currently in the process of complaining to the flower company and Yodel - not that im expecting to get any response!!

Yodel are only useful for 'non' fragile things. They just throw things about in the van/lorry.

Disgusting, but not suprising sadly. What do Seranta give as their delivery times?
• Still no sign of any flowers from Arena. We are away for half term from 4pm tonight. They won't answer their phone and only recently have set up an automated reply to their email. Am I going to come back in a week to a bunch of dead flowers on my doorstep? What liability will Arena have as this gives a pretty clear message to burglars that there is no one home. No much point even in cancelling as there is nothing to suggest they will even read the message. Any ideas?

Suggest you speak to a neighbour and ask them to take them in if they arrive later than 4. The delivery times were up to 6pm iirc so best to do that as I agree that anyone lurking would be able to see that your property is empty.
• Thanks - sensible advice. would still be interested to know if anyone else has actually seen the much promised flowers...

I emailed them to cancel my order yesterday at lunch time as soon as I found they wouldnt be delivered in time. I didn't get a response and I can't see that i've had the refund yet but 24 roses turned up today. I called them to find out what was going on but their lines are still closed. My wife was angry yesterday as she thought I hadn't bought here anything but she now has 36 roses, which is great but I didn't really want these 24 anymore, i'm more worried about getting my money back as i've had to buy from elsewhere yesterday
