    I also got an email from Debenhams Flowers at 1149pm last night, I'd taken up the MSE offer as well;

Have gone for the delivery tomorrow, but it's not Valentines Day. Ho Hum!

Just come across this thread as I haven't received my order from debenhams yet. However I've not received an email either.

Reposting this in here since there seems to be another thread now :

I've not seen anything from Arena saying they will send orders tomorrow anyway even if cancelled. Do you have a source for this as I am very sceptical unless there is a evidence such as quote from them via their website? The MSE article could surely be classed as mere puff.

I was offered either 24 roses delivered tomorrow or a refund according to the email they sent earlier, not both. I opted for the refund.

I think Debenhams delivery window was 7am - 7pm so you may be okay.

I can imagine you are very  but it's not valentines ruined, you could pop out and buy a small bunch if you felt you had to whilst taking option b with an upgrade of size for tomorrow.

It is very unfortunate but they are giving very fair alternative dates/ deals:D

I actually bought a large bouquet of 24 red roses from them not the cheaper 12 for £12, and the whole point of ordering for a courier delivery to her place of work was to give her a little chance to show off in front of her colleagues.
If I wanted a "small bunch", I wouldn't have gone to the time and expense of arranging a nice courier delivered bouquet for her.
Whilst your right it's not neccessarily valentines ruined, it's certainly taken the shine off my romantic gesture, something that us men are always moaned at for not making the effort with.
I'll now have to make sure my home made candle lit meal for 2 is perfectly executed, or I'll be sleeping in the spare room with the cat tonight. :D

I ordered from Debenhams for a courier delivery and now find they have sent them Royal Mail instead, so obviously will not arrive today. On hold on phone to them as we speak. Valentine's Day present for my wife ruined.

I presume this constitutes breach of contract since it is obviously a gift for delivery on a certain day? At the very least I should get a full refund on the flowers, not just on the delivery.

My partner ordered his from Interflora and I was lucky to receive a lovely bunch of roses at 11am this morning!

Really sorry to hear about those who have had issues though :(

How did you find out Peter?
Just checked my account and the order I placed and paid for on 5 Feb is 'processing'.

They sent me a link to the Royal Mail tracking! I would post it here but the forum won't let me post URLs as a newb.

what product did Debenhams use? RM Tracked?
  • Yes, RM tracked. I paid for delivery on the 14th, that will obviously not happen now.
