  • Meant to say, re: work - we went through some shift changes recently and they said I had to go from 2/3 days a week to 4 - that's why i upped my hours. Going to 4 days meant extra childcare and petrol (even though it was the same amount of hours) so I increased to 20 from 16 to cover the extra petrol costs.
  • Deos DH give you plenty of help? Have you told him diagnosis? :)

He is really quite good and will do most things I ask but I don't really think he 'gets it'. Which is fair enough.

I have told him and he just asked a few questions but I just got the feeling he was a bit disbelieving that it was actually 'something' as opposed to me just not being bothered to do stuff. I spent most of the weekend in bed and the vibes from him were that I was just being 'miserable'. He doesn't seem to actually realise how shattered I get - i think he thinks i make it up so i can get an hour away from the kids!!

Don't get me wrong - he is great and loving but I suppose because it's not him, he doesn't appreciate how hard it is - even though he sees me.x
  • Maybe he should have a chat with the doc too next time you go. That really helped me understand my mum when she had a bout of fatigue.

    *hugs*

  • I have just skim read this thread because I was bored lol and OMG - how many times have I posted I'm tired/fatigued! It's like it was staring me in the face all along.

Now to try and get DH on board!x
  • Hi all.

Hope everyone is well! I went back to work yesterday and it was ok. Was shattered by the time I had got home though. Today has been tiring. I am off for the weekend now. I have really noticed how much I can/can't do. For eg - I put some washing on when I got home and after sorting out the whites, I was shattered and aching. Normally i would just push through that and keep going and then suffer later. Instead I sat down and rested and then i was able to tidy some toys. Now sat down with a cuppa!!

Eating wise I have been having a couple of shakes and a low calorie meal like mackerel and salad or chicken and salad. Treat night tonight so having takeaway but not going to overdo it because i believe my heavy meal last week triggered my attack on saturday that kept me in bed!

    Happy weekend!xx

Hi oopsa, glad you are trying to work more within the limitations rather doing too much, hopefully that will help in the long run.
Do you feel you are still binge eating or are you more aware of making sure you are eating enough at meal times?
Perhaps you need to be super on to top of making sure that your nutrition is of the highest quality to give your health the best chance of recovery?
I'm really tired, had a busy morning at work then met my cousin at lunch time and went for a long walk along a canal from Kings Cross to Camden, had a haloumi, avocado roll in the market and then sat in a pub with a hot chocolate for a nice break before tackling the commute home.
Just put a wash on, cleaned the kitchen, hoovered the bedroom and booked flights and hotel for my boss.
I'm almost ready for bed, tragic for a Friday night!!
    Have a good weekend all.

that first page is a proper headache - really badly laid out - but it helps to provide some political background.

Links 2 and 3 are videos and link 4 is much easier on the eye.
