Good work John, you're putting the rest of us to shame :)

I can sympathise with toe troubles - I'm playing footy tonight for the first time since having an ingrowing toenail removed - let's see how much that hurts :'(

Mate it's agony. I won't ever be able to play full pitch again. 5 a side's using the inside of my foot will be about my limit. I guess I'll have to drop the nickname 'twinkletoes'!!

I've avoided footie for about 7 years now and decided to take it back up yesterday due to this fitness drive.

I suffered from ingrown toenails previously and they are a nightmare also. Mine got sorted when I was watching a game of footie and off the cuff got asked to play. The only boots that the lads had spare were size 8 or 9's and my feet are 10/11's! A few days after the match my big toenails fell off due to being crushed up and belting a ball from tiny boots.

Not a cure I'd recommend though!!

You've also gotta master the scholes-esque "curl it hard with the outside of your foot" technique - had some spectacular goals with that....some even more spectacular misses, but some spectacular goals :D

Footie is my sport too, and yes I am a girl (quite a girly one at that!) dangerous game though!

It's not dangerous!! Well it is when you play against some people;)
I also love footy :) don't really get to play tho.. :(

Been badminton for an hour today and then did a half hour dog walk :)

Going to go gym either tomorrow or wednesday depending how I feel in the morning :rotfl:

Good work - Keep it up. The hardest part (I find anyway) is keeping it going. I go through phases "Let's get fit!" but after 3 weeks or so I lose the motivation lol. Not this time though - This thread's a great motivator!
i only have 2 hours per morning , then thing 3 comes home, OH works away all week so i cant do nights and the weekend is for the family, so thats all i got

2 hours per morning for 4 days will work wonders for you. Just keep an eye on diet and booze intake to maximise your results. So says the oracle of watching his own booze intake! :)

Glass Half Empty - At least you had a good weekend out of it! ;)

Blimey John, that's an active day you have planned!

I did 80 mins on the wii fit last night, just a light one to ease me into the week nicely! :)

Today I have planned a 15km bike ride followed directly by 5km run so I'll see how I get on with that.

    Happy exercising everyone!

Lol - I know Missy...So much for starting slow and easy!!

I've changed my plan to incorperate 3 short sessions a day for the first few weeks to get my system fired up. Once I've blitzed the excess pounds, I will be looking to build muscle - At this stage, I will cut back a little on the cardio.

Mind you 15K's on bike with a 5K run straight after is not too bad either;)

Well, I'm not doing as much as you guys, but I bet i'm in more pain! :o

Badminton yesterday has killed my arms and my buttocks! :p

Plus I [STRIKE]stupidly[/STRIKE] looked up tricep exercises last night on the t'interweb.. well, I got my weights out and did every single one until my arms were burning! :o Now I can hardly lift them, and I know they are gonna be worse tomorrow!

I'm really pleased though, all is going to plan :)

OH is away for 5 days from tomorrow, so i'm going to have lots of time to exercise ! :T

Well done everyone else... I hope I can join in with the 15k bike rides and 10k runs soon enough! :A

Since I started to train with my OH I have got much fitter. It is the showing off aspect I reckon.

Did our 10k last night but we did it with interval training, sprinting for 2 mins, then jogging for 1. It was bloomin difficult I can tell you. I said at 7k "I can't do this anymore, I'm gonna have to jog the rest" but he said "go on then, give up" which he knew would wind me up (competitive you see!) so I carried on.
Had to turn the incline off after about half way though cos I felt like I was gonna fall off the back of the treadmill.

Got on the scales today and have lost 1.5kg. Being fit is more important to me cos I'm not really fat, but it is nice to see anyway.
