  • £23 PM (No pool) but just by work so go at lunchtime, feel so jammy about that :) All classes included (though I never go I prefer to sweat it to music) and no contract.
Some times you have to hold back to go forward to where you want to be.

Nothing. I workout at home with my Jillian Michael's DVD's, do long walks on the pebble beach and go roller blading.

I guess if you factor in the costs of DVD's and the equipment I've bought, it would be:

    Shred DVD - £5
    3 Jillian Michael's DVDs bundle - £18.49
    Exercise Mat - €9.99
    1kg Handweights - €14.99
    2kg Handweights - £6.99
    Pushup Bars - £5.99
Roller blades - free (sister gave them to me as she never used them)

Total: £61.45 (approximately - haven't taken account of exchange difference). Split over the last 24 months that is £2.56 pm

Although, I did also invest in a Polar heart rate monitor recently, for £69.99. Not really required to workout, I just wanted one, and I would still need to buy my own if I was going to a gym. Even so, it would only take the monthly cost up to £5.48 and this cost per month will keep on reducing as time goes on :)

Currently free gym membership that comes with where I work though I haven't been going as often lately because I prefer to work out outdoors when the weather permits.

£21 p/month. (Staff discount as I work for the council). Full use of all leisure centres in East Riding. Includes, free use of pool, sauna, squash, badminton, exercise classes, and 50 percent off crèche and sunbeds:eek: and 10 percent off cafe purchases.

Not bad i would say for a gym membership, and the gym has just had a £180,000 refurb even though the brand new purpose built sports centre only opened 4 years ago.

My husband and children can also get membership at the same discount too.

My gym is quite expensive. I am paying £37 per month for off peak. Think that's 9-4pm Mondays to Fridays. Its the price for over 60s and I have no desire to go at the weekend.

The gym is in a hotel, part of The Village chain and it is a lovely gym, with a nice pool. However, I haven't been for ages because I fell over 3 weeks ago and cracked a rib and hurt my arm. I am waiting for those to heal so that I can go again and am looking forward to that.

I have tried to cheap gyms near me (trugym and fit4less) and can't stand them, classes never on, building crap, very small, no squat bar etc etc

Will be joining Nuffield soon as it has loads of classes plus pool.

£30 pm swim membership, gets usage of any pool owned by Better (London) including outdoor 50m Lido, on a 1 month contract. Just waiting to see if they include the Olympic pool in Stratford, which they own, when it opens or if they put the price up.
I pay £3 if I want to use the gym or take a public class. I tend to swim 3-4 times a week and pool is normally £5 a swim.
