I pay ZERO pounds in cash.
I use Tesco Clubcard Boost vouchers to get a PayAsUGym.com Pass.
The PayAsUGym.com Pass costs £65 for 3 months for Sylvestrian Leisure Centre.
But because Tesco Clubcard Boost vouchers gives you 3 times the value of your Tesco points it works out at £21.67 in Tesco points for 3 months.
This works out at £7.22 a Month in Tesco Points AND includes not just the Gym but also *ALL* of the fitness classes.
And yes, it really is Bargain of the Century! I'm rather surprised :money: hasn't picked up on it..0 -
£16.50 a month at 24 Hour Fitness0

Very jealous of all the cheap gym deals! I pay 30 a month at the local council gym for just gym- i.e. no classes or pool or sauna/steam. If you want everything it's £54 a month, which is more than I used to pay at Virgin Active!
I would happily still pay £50 a month for Virgin if only it hadn't closed down! The convenience of location, private locker and towels meant I never had an excuse not to go. I miss it and hate them for closing it!0 -
DW Fitness, Middlesbrough (peak access, gym, classes, and pool, middlesbrough gym access only, personal trainer voucher, no joining fee).
£300 for 14 months paid upfront, works out to about £21.43/month0 -
£28 per month on a three month rolling contract (should be £32 but I get a small owrks discount) Inclides gym, sauna, pool, all classes and covers about 6 different facilities in the local area. Also get reduced court hire and they have membership "perks" each month for you to try out new stuff such as an hours free court hire or a hlaf proce ice skating session at the local rink. I walk to work so it;s not relevant but you can also get a discounted pass for buses and trams by being a member I believe (It's not by much 5-10% if I remember rightly but it's still a saving for those that use it!)Everyone has a dark side... apparently mine is called Harold?!? :huh:0

Mine is £30 per month, £85 for 3 months, £150 for 6 or £255 a year. Right now I am paying monthly but saving for a year's subs.
It's an independent gym where serious bodybuilders train, and is well-equipped, spotlessly clean, friendly atmosphere and the staff are not only lovely but really know their stuff and take an interest in how your training is coming along.
The main gym is mixed-sex but they have just opened up a women-only side with the cardio machines, some resistance exercise machines, class space and a collection of dumbells and kettlebells. The mixed one has the cardio stuff, weight machines, lots of free weights and a cage with a padded floor for fighting training and mat work.
There are also single-sex saunas & sunbeds (not that I use sunbeds!) and on-site massage therapists whose prices are very good. Haven't had a massage yet though. Best of all, they have a kitchen where you can get a big meal of grilled chicken, fish or plantain with veg & hummus for £5. I love that because I can work out then get a healthy filling meal afterwards rather than having to go home and cook or be tempted by the takeaway. And it's a good place to chat to other members.
They also do Zumba, HIIT and Tabata classes and are looking for instructors to do Yoga & Pilates. Classes are £3.50 or you can pay a bit higher membership and get unlimited classes included.
I'm only about 3 weeks in but very pleased with my gym.Public appearances now involve clothing. Sorry, it's part of my bail conditions.0 -
Mine is £19 a month for gym and all classes. Embarrassed to say I haven't used it in 6 months. If my posts have random wrong words, please blame the damn autocorrect not me0

I'm on the lowest tariff at local Bannantynes. I can use the gym from 6AM-4PM Mon-Fri, which includes all gym, classes, pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and steam and I pay £32 p/mth which I think is still expensive.
Can't believe the range of prices on here!! From next to nothing to mega expensive, it seems crazy.2014 Frugal Living Challenge

Wow £32 and restricted use! My gym is cheap but is "just" a gym with classes, as in it doesn't have a pool, Sauna, steam room etc.If my posts have random wrong words, please blame the damn autocorrect not me0 -
£9.99 per month, first month was free and that's a 12 month contract that I can freeze at any time as I'm a student and go home for summer.0
