Help! Partner spends too much time online!

I'm looking for some help or advice. My partner is spending too much time online for my liking.
They work in an office all day. As soon as they get home they are either on the pc or on the iPad.
Should I be worried that they are on this rather than bring with or doing things with me?

what would you be doing together instead, before she discovered her ipad?0

Talking for starters. They would rather be on the iPad etc instead of even going out to places. Cinema, shopping etc. Just seems like the interest isn't there anymore.0

How much time would you say?
If its literally the second she (he?) walks in the door until bed then yes I'd say that is way too much time.
Have you spoke about it?0 -
What does your partner say when you ask why?Life is short, smile while you still have teeth

You sound just like my hubby. He can access the Internet at work whereas I cannot. I probably spend 35-45 min of an evening in wee 10min spells on my iPad.
If its really excessive the i suggest you have a chat with her0 -

It is basically from when they walk in until they go to bed. They have to be doing something on the pc. I've tried bringing the subject up but it causes an argument or there's a bad atmosphere for hours.0 -

have you tried arranging to do stuff, ie go to the cinema etc together, get out and go for a walk together? Its maybe just habit, and habits can be broken.0 -
Is your partner on the computer to the exclusion of everything else, or are they still aware of what's going on, conversation, tv progs etc?
I tend to have my computer on my lap from after dinner (so around 7pm) until I go to bed. However, much of the time I'm not even looking at the screen - I'm talking to Marley, listening to the baby monitor, watching the television (and then commenting about stuff on here!), thinking about stuff ...
It might look as though I'm stuck on the internet but I'm not. It's just that my laptop generates heat, so it's a lovely warm cushion :rotfl::heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

Sorry, bit confused. "My Partner", and "they" - who are "they"? :huh:0

I can say things to them regarding whats going on in the news or my day. I'll get a "yes or a no" sometimes. I'll ask them what I said and that's when they say they weren't listening to me.0
