DD2 was out last night - she arrived home about 2.30am. She decided to sleep downstairs so as not to disturb DD1. We found her this morning in a sleeping bag wearing 4 onesies! I think she might have been a bit cold......

Sun is shining in Valliland also; washing on line. Ironed last lot, it's on the maiden and I am about to put the maiden in front of a sunny, open window to air it all.

Have pootled round the garden in wellies, with a carrier bag and a trowel (kept especially for this purpose) picking up little kitty parcels.

DW emptied; glasses washed. DS at football; DD gone to their dads. And I am off all week. :T:D:D:D:T:T:cool::cool::D:D:D

Groceries bought and put away, tots fed and had treat for being helpful shoppers. While we were choosing veg, DS said "I want to choose some flowers for my granny" aww bless him little love. So he's got her some green and white chrysanths :A and luckily, we will see her later on! What a gorgeous little man he is.

Anyway, shopping all away, wm on, DW sorted, sofas cleaned, outside downstairs loo window and ledge cleaned, now having a breather. It's glorious here too, but very cold. Tots were out but soon wanted to come back in...

Next job to wrap birthday present for party later. And sort lunch and nursery bags for tomorrow.

We night a tidy toy room before bed too...

I couldn't wear 4 at once - I'd never cope with going to the loo!

FOUR - HOW lol - Can she actually move? :rotfl:

That's what I have to do too, Pigpen - rushed off to buy tiles for window sill this week. He's gotten round to cutting them, but unless I actually get the tools out later today, they'll not be fixed until at least next week

You've got a gud 'un there, Bossy

4 loads of washing out on the line because it is Sun-Day after all - see what I did there? :D

Taken DS to footie and decluttered the recycling and walked the dog whilst out. Just back and OH has made a full cooked brunch for us all and he's just gone out to A*di as they are selling pre-treated raised beds for the garden which slot into each other and are only £6.99 a set. Looks like him and DD will be planting seeds whilst the sun is out.

I'm gonna fold the washing and put it away and remake our stripped bed, after hoovering the mattress as I think slinky dog sneaked onto it whilst it was stripped. :(

Noticed DS and DD are scratching their heads this morning so will check them over - I wish everyone else would check their kids as often as we do - almost £20 for bloody nit stuff when we can ill-afford it makes me scream

Working from 5pm until 10 pm tonight, so just gonna chill a bit and potter around gently, tidying as I go.

Enjoy your afternoon all - hope it's sunny where you are - my mood is definitely improved.

It looks like everyone is enjoying the sun and is being very productive today.

I have put all the dry clothes away, some are still a bit damp and will have to be done later. I found another load for the wash, no wonder my wardrobe looked empty.

Found some old jeans with holes in which will be going in the bin. That's cleared a bit of space.

Shoes have been put in the ottoman instead of all over the floor.

Also came across more shredding to be done and have managed to fill a carrier bag with rubbish and that's just from the bedroom.

I still have the bedding to change. Then I think I'll be done in there for the day even though it's not finished yet.

Still need to do a trip to the shop to buy food stuffs for work.

I used to buy the cheapest conditioner and comb through with a nit comb (huge bottle=less than £1 savers range or whatever) because if you comb every few days (there is a rule) you get the immature (and therefore non-egg-laying) hatchlings.
Wash, comb with a wide comb and a bit of conditioner first to loosen knots, then get them with a nit comb and more conditioner. HTH

    Link included, - it's comb again on 5th, 9th and 13th.
I used to do this once a week on DD to check if she had them; because it's conditioner repetition doesn't make them immune or anything. Apart from anything else the expensive lotions may not kill the eggs; so you may get a re-infestation anyway.

Hi everyone! Sounds like most people have a lovely sunny day too - doesn't it make a difference?! (Or it could just be the fact that it's half term :p)

I'm popping on now as I won't be around until Weds so will only be able to post if my phone decides to behave! Will try to get on the new thread later but otherwise I'll 'see' you all Weds.

Need to go a do the car checks now so take care all xx

Totally agree with Valli here - the conditioner treatment is the most effective - and the cheapest. It is worth the time and effort in doing it regularly to ensure that there are no little hoppers.

When the yorkie kids were young I also had an electric nit comb. It was very effective - and very useful when you didn't want to wash little kids long hair on a school night. It was this one I think, but other ones are available:-

I also developed the habit of putting a few drops of tea tree oil in the last rinsing water for their hair - apparently the little b*****s don't like it!

I don't know how old your kids are OP, but once we got to secondary school we didn't have any problems...
