Happy birthday vanilla
Lots of birthdays lately. Another carp nights sleep grr. Really need to sort this out. I'm sure they wait till I'm in a deep sleep then sneak in and lay on me, while I'm too dopey to react.
So, I've washed my mattress cover and pillow protectors, and got them on radiators and in airing cupboard as I want them dry for tonight. Also emptied DW, done lots of cooking using up carp from Xmas (stuffing mix, sundries tomato paste, short crust pastry, jar of peppers). Had a friend over to play, and set the timer at the end and the boys did some good tidying. DS and his pal were great and they all played nicely, DD was quite taken with the baby brother.
Done kitchen dailies, cleared out medicine shelf and got rid of useless / ood stuff and put back tidy.
Just having a breather and I'll look in freezer and make a list.Bossymoo

lOvely and sunny here so washing is outside - makes a lovely change!
PenPen - hope you and the brood have a lovely trip to York!
Off to do some more ironing after I've decluttered a cuppa!
Now I have 9 days off! Lots of cleaning and sorting to do! I LOVE half term!:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
Hi everyone; thought I'd check in while Mary snoozes after having her lunch.:o
Hoppy Birdday Vanilla.
GI I hope your godmother is OK; 103 is some fantastic age!
Tooch (((HUG))) sweetie, sometimes it just takes one little thing to push us over the edge; probably a meltdown and a cry is just what you needed to do to release a bit of tension.:o
I have to admit to not being in favour of wheels on shoes, from the point of view of having out-of-control kids wearing said wheels cannon into my wheelchair on several occasions whilst shopping in Central MK, causing me considerable pain from the impact jolting my back. With my own experiences, and the horrendous injuries mentioned in other posts, it seems to me that they're nothing more than an accident looking for a place to happen.:(
Decogecko re the cat litter tray, my immediate thought was some smooth-ish rocks (ideally, the sort of things you find on a rocky beach) about the size of a fist placed in each corner – wouldn't take up lots of the litter space, but would keep the tray steady. I may be talking through my navel though, as I've never used a litter tray – um.... that is to say, I've never had a litter tray for any animals I've looked after.:D
Helen many thanks for the offer, but we're fine for newspaper; Mr LW's little daily luxury is his favourite broadsheet to read at work (I get to do the crossword and sudoku in the evening, when he brings it home), and as soon as I knew Mary was going to stay with us, I started saving them, so I have a goodly pile stashed in the spare room.;)
Jazee glad to hear that SickDog is improving.:o
I'm still just doing essential S&S-ing, but on the other hand, I've managed to get rid of several frogs, which I haven't had time for when I've been Flying properly.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Afternoon all, popping in to say thanks for the b'day wishes.

We're all heading to the beach house in an hour and i haven't even packed up yet. Let alone got dishes and stuff done.
So i'm away until tuesday, hope everyone has a fab weekend and see you wednesday. xx“Life is short, live it. Love is rare, grab it. Anger is bad, dump it. Fear is awful, face it. Memories are sweet, cherish it.”0 -

Hi all
Wow this week has been birthday-tastic on the fred!
Happy birthday Vanilla :bdaycake:
LW - thank you for the suggestion for the cat litter tray, I will endeavour to track some stones down. The aforementioned darling cat that decided to use the hallway runner is off to the vets tonight, am a bit nervous as he's 16/17 and I had to have my 20 yr old & 15ish year old cats PTS in September. DC1 is possibly showing the problem the 20 year old had and a bit of arthur.
Flying wise
