AAaarrrrrggggghhhhhhhh. I am trying so hard to hold on to it this morning!
I've made early morning tea and coffee, walked, medicated and fed the dog, made half a dozen urgent phone calls, taken a couple of phone calls, stripped a bed, done a load of washing, pegged it out, folded the two loads from yesterday, put the shopping away, defrosted four lumps of HM pastry to make quiches and tarts for a party later, cooked breakfast, washed up, and called on a neighbour to deliver her flowers, and all that while supposedly 'having a lie in'.
The dog has just yakked up 1 antibiotic, no doubt the sugar lumps and Propalin, two sardines, plus a load of yellow bile - on my office carpet.
I want to restart this morning, please.Better is good enough.0 -
Honeybear, thanks for the tip about sugar lumps, I despair on the days SickDog is reluctant to take her meds.
I have taken OldDog and LittleyDog for a very long & muddy walk and have had a lovely lunch with DD (who has an interview to look forward to and is v. happy). I'm about to pop in the garden, finish weeding the patio that I started from yesterday's list and tidy the plant pots. Am very tempted to buy some seeds and take over all the windowsills in the house!Spend less now, work less later.0 -
I've been to the shop for bread and milk and had some toast. Now I'm sat down again, I've lost my GUAG...............0

Good afternoon

DS sent off to A&E with DH this morning as his wrist still hurt. Nothing broken :j he has been told to use it as it is just muscular pain. So he is playing rockband with DH now
I took the dog for a walk while they were out & took DD2 to her maths lesson. DH & I have done a shop at Ald!. DD1 is on a train on her way home
We are going out for a late lunch/early dinner when she gets here as a treat (she doesn't know
).
1 load of washing washed, dried & folded. Dog bedding is in the WM now. I could quite happily have a snooze now

Dusty Thanks for the comment about the parking fine. I'm completely in the wrong, and I'm going to pay it, despite knowing about the Parking Fine threads, which I read dozens of pages of quite a while back. Sainsbobs used to allow free parking, but it was abused, so they instigated a system whereby you pay for one or two hours when you park, and then reclaim it back at the checkout having spent £10 or more. It means there is always space in there, and as it's effectively free parking in the city centre, I use it a lot. I just forgot. It was my mistake and the crunch factor is that I have forgotten quite a few times and never been ticketed. In effect - I'm busted. And I've learned a lesson.
Lamewolf Thank you for your post about dog meds. You're doing better than I am, because over the last three years there have been occasions when I simply could not get anything into her, but only the odd dose here and there, although I stopped giving her some of the prescribed things because they were just making her worse. I talk to the vet about how best to manage Dog's life, and fortunately the vet has bucket-loads of commonsense. She also volunteers for the Cinamon (sp?) Trust and dog walks for them so that elderly people can keep their dogs, so I have huge respect for her. Dog has just been remedicated, had her bed washed (eeewwwww - I also scrubbed the carpet under it) and has had chicken for her second attempt at breakfast. Fingers crossed.
I've got to pop out to buy some cream to finish baking the tarts and quiches and then make a few cards for this evening and then, hopefully, have a bath. I'm exhausted. If push comes to shove it'll have to be a shower.Better is good enough.0 -
Evening all
Busy day today, but DD loved her football class :T it was DS who had seen his @rse and refused to join in. So I've decided they need to be in separate groups. So all that is sorted with the coach, and he's bringing her a footy kit next week
Then we have been to my aunts and booked our big family holiday :T how exciting - 5.5 months yet, though, so we have a deal not to mention it to the children else they will just drive me demented asking when we are going lol. But something to look forward to, nonetheless.
Skip all flying done, although stepdad ate a frog. I had decided a few days ago to replace my own skirting  and priced and measured up. Well, by chance he turned up this morning with his tape measure. So I gave him ££s and off he went to DIY store, and now I have skirting that goes all the way round my bedroom :T only been waiting since may, lol. Typical builder. Still, he does a nice job and doesn't make a mess (and I will have to pay him in beer and curry as he won't take any money for his time, only the materials).
Kitchen is a bit messy and I need to empty DW, and against all flylady rules, I am leaving it till morning as I am bushed. But, we did look in DD boxes of clothes in top of her wardrobe. She has plenty for holiday, and I've found two jogging bottoms that are too small so pulled out a few more things that will fit her now. She has grown legs lately.
Early night for me I think. Off to put kettle on and might watch a DVD in bed...toochoosey wrote: »accidently pressed spam on Bossymoos post and quickly pressed not spam, sorry if anything happens x mousepad on laptop very sensitive!!!
