Morning all, have had a rubbish night's sleep. DH drank too much and was noisy which put me in a bad mood, must have been catching as I got woken at 3.30 by neighbours arguing (fortunately not a regular occurrence), then DHs alarm went off at 5.30 instead of 6.30 as I set it wrong. Eventually I got up at 7.30 but with a headache. So, tablets taken, dog medicated, all dogs fed and I'm sitting here with a cuppa. Next job - wrap those fleabay parcels.
Hope everyone has a great day.Spend less now, work less later.0 -

Morning all.
Just a quick look in to see what jobs I've got left to do. I want to get everything finished today so I can run some errands tomorrow when DD is out with ex.
DD is in bed devouring a book that arrived yesterday. She's nearly 500 pages in already and refusing to move until she's finished it! Have told her she's going to the shop later for bread & she's not impressed as she wanted to stay home and read all day. I don't mind though, it means I can get on with the end of my list

I've missed masses of people's birthdays this week, for which I apologise and please accept my best wishes for many happy returns. I also hope Elderly Cat has a miracle recovery from her problems.
LouLouCake, if you'd seen the state of my office, you'd realise that 60 in 60 every day for a week is just toying with the problem! I really must stop dumping everything in there that 'needs to be dealt with later'.
Jazee, thank you so much for letting us know SickDog is better. Dog has decided she will no longer be eating rice, which explains why she's been refusing food I thought she'd wuuf down lately. Bu**er it. That means I'm going to have to peel, ping and mash potatoes for the foreseeable future. On a much lighter note, the post I made earlier in the thread about the odd looking beef led to me realising that there was no need to offer the meat the sugar lump to test its DNA composition. I threw the meat out and gave the dog the sugar lumps laced with her Propalin - and she couldn't get them down her neck fast enough. Expensive soblem prolved cheaply - and it's only taken three years for me to come up with that solution. Doh.
I had an exceptionally busy day yesterday (which ended up with me finally putting the shopping away this morning), a diagnosis of tendonitus (sp?) after two weeks of pain, and a £30 parking ticket - my own fault as I forgot to prepay the refundable £1 charge. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. On the upside, OH stripped the bed, turned the mattress, did two loads of washing, pegged them out and got them in after a night out. I heart him.Better is good enough.0 -

HB elderly/not-so-well pets can be such a worry, can't they? As far as I'm concerned, I'll do whatever it takes to get their meds into them; several of my guests have has meds of various sorts.
Sidny and Cameron were both diabetic, so had insulin injections (cue Mr LW to the rescue, as just the sight of the needle made me go wobbly)_pale_
Pip had two tablets and a liquid, all served with sliced ham - her pal Pandora had plain ham, so as not to feel left out.:o
Sidny (again) also had liquid Metacam - to be given on a little bit of plain bread; he thought my HM bread was great!:D
Candy had regular meds for a hinky bladder.
There've been several others, too, including some on courses of antibiotics when they stayed.
But I can honestly say that no-one staying here has ever yet failed to take their meds at the proper time.
I'm a bad Flylady.:( There was *gulp* a c-c-cobweb above the lounge curtains earlier. It's gone now.;)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Not a lot of flying here but took DS to the barber to declutter his mop and picked DD up from the train. It was her birthday on Monday and mine Wednesday so I have been making us a belated birthday cake. I am making the Maltese cake on the comic relief pull out from Mr T' s free real food magazine. It smells divine and looks just like the picture. DD very impressed:jMake £10 per day in July £45.48/£310
June £232.66, May £310.36, April £310.19, March £287.32, February £250.18, January £257.24
Swagbucks in 2015 £65/£1500
