58mm it says on the lens, not 55mm.
Some have suggested getting 2700ma AA rechargeables as their power lasts for ages and can be charged say overnight.I didn't do it, nobody saw me do it, you can't prove a thing!

Thanks HexusOdy, I am interested to know this too!
Also which type of memory card would people recommend - I'm new to digital! And any tips on best makes/prices for these would be really helpful.
Also(!) any recommendations for which type of rechargeable batteries and charger? A brief read of the instructions suggested you should only use the same make as were sold with the camera, ie Energizer - any views on this at all?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Not yet decided on my batteries, but as for Xd card, I already owned an Olympus Type H 1gb card, and these are faster than the Type M's. Amazon current price is £14.49 (although I'm sure there are other places cheaper, eg Play.com £12.99 but out of stock).
There's that website that finds cheap Amazon goods to make the bill up to £15 so you get free super-saver delivery, at http://www.filleritem.com/uk.htmlI didn't do it, nobody saw me do it, you can't prove a thing!

Not sure if it includes charger, but worth it for the batts alone, sell case on ebay to cover costs, tripod only worth a quid, ordered a couple of sets with an order, though I can't register with google checkout
Recieved and Yes, has overnight charger, 4 x 2300ah batts, mini tripod and case (would suit most small compact cameras, not just fuji a400!)
Whoops!, just checked... sold out! sorry.0 -

looks like Amazon are selling the slightly lower spec model the 5600 for £115 which seems good if you miss out on the Jessops deal? Its not for me but someone might like it?

I bought the Hoya 58mm filter from Jessops. In-store price £18.99, on-line price £12.99. So order on-line to collect in-store and get it for £12.99....0

Does the Hoya 58mm still allow the cap to fit or do i need to get the Jessops one?
ThanksVal

I have the 58mm Hoya UV filter and the cap fits on to it. Excellent camera off to Iceland in a couple of weeks so I will get a good chance to really check it out.:j0
