Fuji s6500fd £142.49 delivered BE VERY QUICK

Great deal for what looks to be a stunning cam, just bought one for my dad as a birthday present, I already have a very capable Panasonic FZ50 else I would be buying one for myself to.

Manual mechanical linked 10.7x zoom
Manual focus via lens ring:cool:
6.3 Megapixel with stunning ISO speeds that are actually very decent.

From what I can see it is today only at £149.99 including delivery but use a code from hotdealsuk to get an extra 5% off making a total of £142.49 an absolute steal, it doesn't have any negative reviews and even DPReview rate it highly which is not an easy feat:D

grab it quick folks

    Nice find doozeruk.

You can even collect @ store for the same price.

Now, how do I convince the wife that we need a new camera?

You NEED this camera, tell her I told you, you WILL be dissapointed if you miss it.

Dpreview's review....notourisly thorough, detailed and harsh if they need to be....overall though for the money I guess this is not going to dissapoint, I would have one but with 4 decent cams already and a total of 8 in the household I guess I would probably find it hard to explain:D

I paid ~£200 just after Christmas for this from Dixons, thought that was a bargain as they were £250 in store, Jessops at the time were actually advertising it reduced from £300 to £250 I think, but for that price it's a great deal. Great camera, you won't be disappointed!

I so nearly just bought one, and it does look like a great camera. But having looked around I don't think the price means you have to grab it quickly.

    Look here - http://www.pricerunner.co.uk/pl/29-693065/Digital-Cameras/Fujifilm-FinePix-S6500fd-Black-Compare-Prices

There are a couple of places at just a little more.

Would those that have one recommend it? I'm thinking of getting one for the missus birthday, shes always wanted to get into decent digital photography :)

WoW! Yes you are quite right, when I checked last week (as Argos reduced it to £170 something) I couldn't find it under £170, amazing how a week changes things. Still it is a bargain nevertheless even if it is only saving a tenner or so. I will let you know how I find it when I recieve it, I am a seasoned photographer  and although it is for my dad he won't be getting it until August so I will have to check and then double check it anyway:D

Thanks mate. The review is quite impressive but as my missus isn't amazingly technical I'd also like something that reasonable simple to use, but with advanced features when she is ready. I don't want to get something thats over complicated to get the results she wants.

All the Fuji's I've had (and other makes) have a bog-standard auto "point and press" mode as do the 5600/5700/6500 and others (you may need to check/change some of the default settings before you let her loose though).

Quick question I always have with digital cameras. How good is the battery life on this. My current camera chews batteries. Honest if you put in those 4 for 99p batteries you can literally watch the battery drain before your eyes and get only one photo out of it.

The Pro's on the review link above say it has excellent battery life.
