  • I've just managed to get through to them on the phone...you were right, Barclays have responded within the time frame but it hadn't caught up on the website. I'm guessing it was probably because of the bank holiday :(

I was told that because there's a fauled judgment online that now I can't continue online and have to do everything by paper with a form N225 downloadable from the court website.

I feel a bit scared and on my own now that things haven't gone the simple route :( I'm not sure what I have to do next, do I just wait to get a letter from the court telling me what's happening next?
  • so i issued the claim on the 4th may! but they were served on the 9th may so its 28 days from the 9th then?

we're in the same situation,a s far as i know you'll get the defence and the aq to fill in and send back to court, then you will get your court date and a set of directions for your defence.

Well that's my understanding. But...if you're like most other people on here who have been in a similar situation your bank will probably put in a defence at the 11th hour.

    Good luck.

Yup I've just had my claim rejected due to Natwest entering an acknowledgement the same day as I entered my claim for judgement by default. I'm really annoyed because I couldn't get on the MCOL site on the 14th day to enter my claim for judgement by default due to it crashing and when I did finally manage to get on and enter my claim for judgement it was still showing as "Started". So as far as I can figure out I now have to give Natwest ANOTHER 14 days to enter defence and can't do anything else online. Fan-fudging-tastic. :(

hi i sent a court summons to lloyds tsb and 14 days later i reciever the aknowledgement of claim which meant they had a further 14 days to file there defence, well today is the full 28 days and i haven't recieved any defence through the post, i then went onto moneyclaim to ask for judgement but it says You are unable to take any further action online on this claim. so what do i do??

    Help, i'm a bit stuck.

I am in the process of trying to enter judgement by default and dont seem to be able to do it. I have a credittor that has still not paid me and the 28 days are now up. I have always either had a full refund prior to the end of the 28 days or in the case of First Direct, they defended and i have a court date. This company is providian credit cards and i have been on my MCOL page and tried to hit the START button, but it says i cannot enter judgement. Have i missed something??

I'm going to phone them on Monday, but i just wondered if there was something i could be doing wrong.

    Thanks all. :D

If the time limit expires on a weekend or Bank Holiday Monday, they get an extra day.

    Hi |Elsie2

We had the same problem last weekend and had to wait until tues because of bank holiday! Got through to next step and issued the judgement by default which was accepted . The next day a defence was entered and the default was barrred!
