Hi, I bought this one about 6 weeks ago and I am very impressed
http://www.greenhousepeople.co.uk/greenhouses/4ft-6ft-wide-greenhouses/simplicity_classic_green_package_68/
It has toughened safety glass and I also bought bar capping and upgraded the base to green to match the greenhouse and a bought a rainwater kit.
I have never built a greenhouse before but did this in 2 easy days (1 for the frame and 1 for the glass)
I am utterly impressed.0 -
Can't go wrong with a gardman greenhouse from my own experience. I like them because for a cheap greenhouse as long as you secure the poly on the prevailing wind side there'll be no issues at all.
I bought my 6x6 one from https://www.ukgreenhousesales.co.uk0 -
There are some images on this site of the 6 X 8 green greenhouse from the greenhouse people which looks really nice for the price (£499) with toughened safety glass. The images are under "images Sept 2011 and Nov 2011" also a link to the greenhouse people on links

Hi all, as you probably will see I`m a newbie on here. I have been looking for a green house for a while and have tried looking in all the local papers and freecycle but no joy. So as I am quite handy and enjoy building things I have decided to build my own green house out of timber (my winter project, something to do in the dark nights in the garage). I already have a load of glass (all 4mm thick). I am looking at making it 3m x 3m. I have plenty of glass for the walls but not yet enough for the roof.
So I am wondering if any body has any advice on building your own and would plastic corragated style sheets be a good idea for the roof?
