Taking a risk there! Still, it's great having a nice, relaxing pastime like gardening, isn't it?
Just wait till you get near the end and you still can't find that piece with the flange which bends the other way! Oh, and the bit right at the finish when you look at the three little triangular pieces and four bolts and think, 'where were these supposed to go?'
When I did my own car repairs, it always amazed me how I ended up with more than I started with in terms of nuts, bolts, washers etc!

I got mine from the greenhouse people, they were very good, they have some special offers on atm, although how special they are I'm not sure, so it would be good to have a look round. They send you extra info to what you would normally get from the manufacturer. This can be very handy indeed.
I went for a AGL/Halls Popular, in green with base and safety glass, mostly happy with it, although the nuts and blots you get with it are terrible quality, very easy to break.

Think about getting auto window openers because they are very useful if you are not around all the time.

  • greenhouse is up took 4 times as long as instructions said:rolleyes: b/f isnt happy as the last panel wouldnt go in properly we got it level and corners are spot on, the panel is sticking out at the bottom hes has the bend it back so plastic creased, been on phone to helpline and they wernt much help either, it looks a mess will have to put plenty of sealant round it that bit, if i had bought this from b&q i would have taken back by now plus id be really upset if i had paid £189 as it just not worth the money.
If anyone was thinking of buying palram silver line greenhouse from b&q...dont!!!

  • I'm lucky enough to have been given a greenhouse frame which I've erected on my plot. I now need to glaze it as unfortunately, it didn't come with any glass, except for that in the door and window opener.

I've already got one greenhouse (yes I know I'm greedy!) which the local scallies smash panes in every now and again. Because of this I'm thinking that I'd be better off going for polycarb instead of glass but I have no idea where to go to get it. Of course I could do an internet search but I expect that there is someone here who has already done it and knows all the secrets!

I am thinking of growing either a grape vine or a kiwi in it if this makes any difference to whether I should use glass / polcarb / something else entirely.

    Any help appreciated.

    Help on polycarbonate

I would grow a suitable grape or kiwi outside in a sheltered spot myself and save the greenhouse for very tender crops.
