Hi,
Half of my green house is this Polycarbonatestuff. I found a cheaper place through ebay and then ordered exactly what I wanted via their website, http://www.greenhousewarehouse.com/
The problem with it is that it tends to bow, and can pop out in heavy winds. I put all my glass in the exposed areas and Polycarbonate in sheltered (those panels near a fence). Even then I had to put some extra wood struts in side the green house to keep the Polycarbonate in place. I used many clips too. So if you do go all Polycarbonate I can see you needing to add some kind of small woodern beams to keep it in place. Having said that it so much cheaper so I'd still do it. If I have any more glass break I'll get more Polycarbonate.0 -
One measure could be to panel pin clear sacking/plastic scraps in place of glass. The only thing that would beat that would be the little sc rotes practising their knife skills on it, and if they did, you could probably find replacement sheets scattered about the vicinity, perhaps from damaged polytunnels?I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0

always checkout any of the free ad sites they are probably the best place to start. also check out my blog before you buy for some good background info.0

Cheap greenhouses can be had for less than you'd think. I got an 8x6 for £269 for the plot. I got it from ukgreenhousesales.co.uk in January and I'm very happy with it. Staging made from pallets and begged timber has cost me nothing and neither has growing my tomatoes and courgettes !
Happy growing !:)0 -

GBC are selling their timber greenhouses at 50% off until the end of September.
We're thinking of a Malvern Sutton at less than £1,000 which looks a bargain - any opinions?0 -
All sites selling Malvern buildings have timber greenhouses on half price offer - half price for the basic greenhouse that is. Hampton , Sutton and Retreat.0

My garden is not only tiny but its a weird shape so when I got fed up of my blowaways, well blowing away I needed a greenhouse that was a different size and shape to most..

This is the one we went for a Belmont 8ft by 4ft thats around the other way as it were to most sizes in that the long side has the door.
Most we looked at of this sort of size had the door on the end.It also has a very good eave height which is handy as we're all tall!
Their service was fantastic,we had a delivery direct from Elite by a wonderful bloke who spent the week on the road just delivering greenhouses and was so helpful.
Everything was there and well packaged and the instructions were very thorough.
We opted for toughened glass and to say we are delighted with it would be an understatement0
