They said they hadnt found sufficient evidence, so i replied by saying i was not informed of any insurances when taking out the policies. Then on the phone call i advised i had insurances etc.
The first one is an incredibly weak complaint, because there will be evidence that you signed for it, you just don't remember it.
You probably could have used single premium on a consoildated list of loans as a good complaint reason.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
I have spoken to some friends who banked at the same bank etc and they managed to get their claims without any questions.
As -taff says above, keep a close eye on the date you received your original rejection and be sure to refer your case to FOS if it comes close to being six months since.0 -
Thanks guys, i have sent an email to FOS today so hopefully they will be intouch. I should have come on here months ago0

It does sound increasingly as if the OP's complaint has simply entered a queue to later receive a repeat rejection. The OP has not provided any new or compelling evidence in her appeal and agreeing to reconsider just seems to be the Bank playing lip service.
I'd be sending this to FOS and using the single premium "front loaded" onto a consolidation chain as my complaint reason.0 -
If i understand you correctly i did say to them i was only told the total amount of my monthly instalments, not a split?0

Hi guys, i have just rang to chase Lloyds again and they have just told me they have overturned their original decision and are now doing the calculations, its taken some time but atleast it is now going in the right direction. Im guessing that this bit of the process will not be overly quick either, but a big thank you to everyone x0

lloyds phoned me today for further information re my employment benefits etc at the time…
just wondering how long do you think It will be before they get back to me as they are now looking at my complaint? she wouldn't give me a time scale just 'shortly'!
its keeping me up all night:rotfl: wondering if I will recieve a refund or not I have been hopeful as I'm sure it was all miss old but have read a lot about lloyds not giving refunds…
I had my phone call at the end of November 2012 but each time I call for update they only say it is upheld and is being recalculated but no time scale.0 -
I can't believe you have all had your decisions so quickly. My claim is now in it's 7th month!!! I ring them every fortnight and occasionaly email as well. The reply is always the same "due to the high number of claims it is taking us longer than expected to deal with them" I'm pulling my hair out :mad:Good luck all0
