I completed an sar from a template I got off Mse sent it to my local lloyds branch with a ten pound cheque (sent recorded delivery) think I had to wait a month and got all my information from them- account numbers etc then filled in a questionnaire ( which I think is on Mse also) sent that off recorded delivery then Recieved a letter saying I should get a decision within eight weeks.... That would be mid march plus the phone call I Recieved

Is there any point me ringing next week for an indication?

Can I just ask why you sent £10? Is it because of the number of loans you were looking for info on or is that the expected amount for just the 1 loan info? Sorry slightly confused - I sent a letter to Lloyds in November and still waiting for a response, so not sure what to do next....Thanks!

A Subject Access Request (SAR) letter costs £10.
In return the financial institution conducts a thorough search of all records kept on file for you. In amongst all this (it is hoped) you will receive relevant PPI information for how ever many loans....
    Excellent SAR template here;

hi i sent £10 with a sar letter as i had no account numbers or any information on the loans id had-they then sent me all the information they had which enabled me to trace the loans and therefore make a claim x

    Hello.

Just had a rejection letter off TSB for my PPI.

Before I contact the ombudsman I want to try again. Their response was I was not mis-sold as the policy was suitable.

Now at the time of taking out the card I was a full time Mum and currently still am. As it was 2004 I can't remember how I took out the card but I know for sure I would never have agreed to PPI as it was clearly not suitable for my circumstances and I was in a position to pay off any balance if needed.

Would/is being without employment a good reason for being mis-sold.

Many thanks for reading and any advice.

I did not know I even had PPI until I received a PPI yearly statement Dec 2012. The card is currently still open.

I submitted my claim against LLoyds TSB in January. The 8 weeks is up next week and I have contacted them to see if all is well and if they need further information (seen too many posts where LLoyds TSB seem to be able to delay due to this reason) and as if by magic they did need more info (sick benefits from work). The staff are pretty helpful when I enquire but the stock response is "Its is still awaiting final decision)
As for SAR - I didnt submit or request one - I know I had PPI as it was forced upon me on the products that I took from LLoyds TSB - They had a habit in my old branch of telling you it was "Vital to the application" and "there's no point in proceeding with the application if PPI wasnt agreed to as the system will turn it down"

Hi, I originally sent my complaint to Lloyds mid November, I received an acknowledgment letter within 2 weeks, followed by another letter 6 weeks later explaining they were taking longer than expected to investigate complaints due to the high volume of complaints. I eventually had a phone call 19th Feb asking more information. I received a letter last Friday telling me they were upholding my claim and they will pay over £7500 into my Lloyds bank account soon.

Hope ths gves you an idea of time frame and you don't have to wait too long!

I had this with them, this is my story...

back at beginning of September I thought id try and see if I was mis sold ppi on a loan I had in 1992.so I phoned them up asking if they could check for me as I had no account number.all I gave them was my address at the time.
I received a letter from them end of October stating they didn't believe the ppi I had on 4 loans!!! dating from 1992 to 2002 was mis sold to me,now I cant even remember having 4 loans with them!!I got back in touch with them to say that I was mis sold the ppi as I would never of taken it out!.that was end of October and waited and waited then,9th of jan I received a phone call stating the decision had been overturned and I will receive an offer from them in due course!!result but it takes bleeding ages!!rang today and the lady said they still haven't come to a final settlement so the story goes on.......
what I will say is chasing up your query doesn't make any difference, and THERE IS NO NEED TO GO THROUGH A CON AGENCY!!!

Yes you can contact them again saying you weren't working. However, you can't say you didn't know you had it because it appears on every statement where you have a balance.
