lloyds tsb ppi claim

Hi, I originally sent my complaint to Lloyds mid November, I received an acknowledgment letter within 2 weeks, followed by another letter 6 weeks later explaining they were taking longer than expected to investigate complaints due to the high volume of complaints. I eventually had a phone call 19th Feb asking more information. I received a letter last Friday telling me they were upholding my claim and they will pay over £7500 into my Lloyds bank account soon.
Hope ths gves you an idea of time frame and you don't have to wait too long!
Can you let us know your complaint reasons?0 -

I think (not 100% sure as they didn't tell me why) my complaint to Lloyds was upheld because I didn't agree to PPI being added when I applied for CC. I didn't need insurance as I work in education and get 6 months full sick pay followed by 6 months half pay, I have death in service benefit and also have savings I could use to meet payment. I realised in 2006 that PPI was being added and asked for it to be removed. I had copy of the original application and had made notes of date etc when I rang complaining about the PPI being added. Lloyds agreed I had been mis-sold.
My Capital One CC complaint was also upheld but I didn't have any paperwork for it, I just gave same reasons for complaining about the PPI; employment, sick pay, death in service benefit and savings etc and they agreed I had been mis-sold.0 -

Hi. Following a letter last Friday confirming Lloyds had mis-sold PPI to me, the money has been paid into my account this morning.
What a result! All my own work, with a little help from MSE.
Hope you get yours soon.0 -
