Is is possible to filter search results to omit suppliers who will not provide gas to customers with Independent Gas Transporter (IGT) connections?

We are connected via an IGT and the top Energy Club result is a supplier who will not supply gas via IGTs. Because the difference in price between this and the 2nd result is quite significant (which in itself if somewhat frustrating), I fear that I am going to get Energy Club emails in the future saying that I could be saving by changing a tariff that I can't get because of the IGT issue.

    Many thanks,

    Z.

    No that is not possible.

Most suppliers will supply via an IGT, but the odd small supplier may not. The tariff details should specify if it is not available to those supplied via an IGT.
Once you are aware a particular supplier/tariff is not available to those supplied via an IGT, you can ignore them. :)

Yes, the tariff details do show this, which is useful.

Ignoring them when they come up in search results on the web page isn't a particular problem.

My concern is that I and others with IGT connections might get emails from the Energy Club advising that I could save £X by switching to a tariff that isn't actually available to me. (Admittedly I don't know how big a problem this is likely to be because I've only just joined the Energy Club and therefore haven't yet had any email alerts.)

I recognise that, with any feature request, there must be regard to both ease of implementation and the number of users affected and I'm pretty unsighted on both. However, I wonder whether consideration should be given to adding a question to the registration/account info page(s) about whether gas is supplied via an IGT, and for the system to use the answer to filter inappropriate results (for the web results but in particular when sending email alerts).

I switched supplier through the Cheap Energy Club earlier this year. Switch all went through fine and I have received my £30 cashback.

Logging in to Cheap Energy Club it still shows by tariff as the one I had with my previous supplier with a note that a switch is in process. Obviously I would expect the tariff details to have been updated by now. I can't see a way of editing the current tariff details (only editable items appear to be be name, email address and password).

Have other users found their tariff details correctly updated automatically?

I joined the club but did not have any figures to hand so just set it at what I thought we were paying BUT there was no way to factor in MY M&S rewards (I am with SSE double tariff DD) if I use less electricity than previous year.

Is there a calculator that can help me.
My gas DD went up by £16.00 month at the end of last year, to £55.00 we still pay £50 for electric,( 3 bed house double glazed and most walls insulated. Loft insulated and boarded over ) despite turning the heating down as often as I could. e.g if we went out for the day. We are retirees and I do get cold as I have mobility problems so cannot go for brisk walks to warm up..
I keep temp down to 19 or below if I can. Do not understand the jump in gas by so much.
Plus I have to factor in my rewards last year I got back £30.00 . WE have PV's on roof. so we get FIT too!
Not sure this is the place to ask BUT if I switch my energy company can I stay with SSE for the FIT or does that have to change too.
    it is soooooo confusing!
Thanks for any help on this

    According to Which website:

You don't have to use the same supplier for your feed-in tariff as you do for your regular electricity and gas account. Therefore, if you are on a feed-in tariff and want to switch gas and electricity suppliers, your existing feed-in tariff provider is obligated to continue making payments to you.

Hooray!!!! Just over five months after switching and over 20 emails exchanged with CEC trying to get my cashback, I have finally received a cheque for £30. Persistence paid off in the end, but I am disappointed at the poor service provided by CEC.

Why is my switching application is still listed as "active" even though it completed nearly 3 months ago and I also have the cashback already? Both my electricity and gas tariffs are now out of date, but the site won't let me change them or do a comparison right now because of this "active" application.
