Why not just use a 'normal' comparison site and switch yourself , I would much rather be in control than rely on a 3rd party.

Just got an email saying the switch is complete. I guess they monitor this thread...

I wonder how they know when a switch is complete aside from people posting in this thread though.

Switched my own electricity and gas to Scottish Power 4 weeks ago and switch going ahead ok. No problems.

Switched my in laws to Scottish Power last week, having spent a year telling them how much they could save. They have got a letter from Scottish Power today quoting Electricity usage £1200.00 and Gas usage £2300.00. Something clearly wrong with the figues the Cheap Energy Club transferred to Scottish Power or what Scottish Power input.

Have told my in laws to call Scottish Power and give them the kwh figure used.

I would be interested to know how the error occured.

Does the Cheap Energy Club not register that you've used it to switch? I keep getting emails which imply that it doesn't...

TBH next time I think I'll use a regular comparison site, I haven't felt very comfortable about the whole thing this time.
