Great idea but I'm with Southern Electric, my bills simply state Economy 7 and that's not listed. What do I do?

So you are saying you don't know which tariff you are on?
Have you evere requested a particular tariff?
If not, you are probably on the suppliers standard (expensive) tariff. You could either check to see if those are the rates you are currently paying, or perhaps better to give the supplier a call and check with them exactly which tariff you are currently on :)

I've currently set it to tell me when I can save £100 but I have reakised this is probably a bit high.

    Thanks

On Sunday I elected to switch from my current fixed price eon tarriff (about to expire) to a Scottish Power Green product June 2015. However on much closer inspection I discovered that despite the title of the product intimating it was fixed till 6/15 I discovered it was no such thing and was variable !!!

Managed to cancel switch with Scottish Power yesterday but I can't see how to remove from the Energy Club profile. Any ideas?

Just login to your energy club account and click the blue 'edit account' button about halfway down the page in the centre.

@Brucie24. Was that the "Simply Green Energy June 2015 Online" tariff from SP? If so, I was about to commit to that tariff myself, under the impression it was a fixed tariff. I was using Simply Switch when I discovered it, and didn't read the final bullet point:
"Remain the same as standard prices until 31st May 2015" properly. Typical energy suppliers confusing language!

  • I joined cheap energy club, entered my actual usage amounts and was decided to go to Scottish Energy who promised to save me money.
They sent a nice welcome pack showing my new direct debit amount but it was considerably more than I used to pay.

I called them and they said they had to put me on this high tariff to start with but after the switch, they'd change it.

    I'd call this mis-selling.
ON cheap energy club they clearly offered and I accepted a particular deal, but they did not and would not deliver it.

We expect this sort of dishonest behaviour from power companies, but why are MSE letting them do it through their cheap energy club?

I'm assuming, in the spirit of the thread's subject matter, this 'better' tariff wouldn't just be limited to those offered by SP but the best/cheapest tariff for Momist in the market?
