Morning all! Wow, congratulations on that weight loss code.
Just having a lie in and I'm feeling like AF could arrive any moment which is actually good news as it would mean my cycle length is 'normal'. Much better than ovulating on day 23 and not ever knowing where I am.
I would like to think TTC will be more straight forward with OH no longer working away but with other people in the house it isn't always easy. IYKWIM. ;-)

Well done on the weight loss code, what have you been doing?

Nothing too difficult actually but its the first week of my diet so I always lose loads of weight then it stabilises. Doing the No S diet, which is no sweets, no snacks, no seconds except on days beginning with s (Saturday, Sunday and special days). Aiming to eat between 1200-1500 calories and doing couch 2 5k and callanetics. Started Monday really craving crisps but its easier now and I know I can have them tomorrow.

Chelsea if this isn't TMI how are you checking for ewcm?

Welcome Aisha :) I'm afraid my only experience of pharmacy ladies is getting extremely told off when I had to take the morning after pill... I was like "I'm 30, we had an accident and I'm here to do the responsible thing... I don't need a lecture on contraceptives!!!"

How to kill your OH.. Aren't those green bits in potatoes actually arsenic?
I wonder how much leek and potato soup it would take?

So sorry for all the CD1s..

Fell asleep waiting for hubby to come to bed last night (he was finishing off some work bless him) on our scheduled night for BD and woke up in panic in the night, thought about pestering him but thought better of it. Snuck in a quickie this morning but my brain has decided its all doom and gloom and this month is a right off (my brain is a bit of a drama queen).

How do you check? I've never bothered with checking as I've never been able to tell the difference really.. But now I'm wondering if there is a better way then staring at my knickers!!

Forgot to say congrats on the weight loss :)

I dont think anything is TMI on here :)

Ummm well basically I have a look, not in my knickers but at what is um there at the opening (God maybe that is TMI :o)

Also it is normally just creamy and does not 'stretch' at all

are you checking around the cervix? If not you wash your hands, insert your finger and have a wee sweep around the opening of your cervix. It's not the end of the world, because some women just dont get it but you can improve it I think with grapefruit juice and/or cough syrup or fake it with preseed or conceive plus or apparently some women use actual egg whites. Do you track ovulation?

Thanks pickle. Hoping it will help get a BFP.

I've heard of some pharmacy colleagues being like that, it's soooo silly coz at the end of the day it's none of my ( or their ) business what you've been getting up to, we're just there to provide a service. I'm so glad you got a nice one tealover especially at such an important time.

Also, aren't peach pits and/or nutmeg meant to be interesting in the context of of how to kill you're OH? It weird how many foods can kill you actually.....

I defiantly get EWCM - I used the method Code said to check. (TMI lol)

Well done on your weight loss code.

    Welcome Ashia.

AFM - Friday today glad it is another week gone. My hormones have not got down yet because I am still getting positives on a test. I was wondering if even your getting positives that you can still ovulate or whether the hormones need to go back to 0. (HCG)

I am hoping that it is going to be a nice weekend as I have the keys to my friends boat. Its like a small speedboat and we have the sea right by us so would be nice for a little trip!! Knowing ur luck this year it will pour with rain.

I am feeling negative today. We really have had a rubbish year.
    - My Audi (my prize car) set itself on fire in OH's work car park in Jan. It was a right off - electrical fault.
    - April - OH's brother had a serious accident and ended up in ITU for a week.
    - May - My granddad died my last grandparent.
    - July - Lost my baby.

I am sure other people have had a rubbish time but I feel like we need a break!!

    Sorry to be a downer......xx

  • Samtoby - *hugs* we've had one of those years ( well actually it's been more like 2 years now ) so I understand how you feel. I used to think bad things came in 3's, that went out the window after about the 5th thing! So now we just try to plod on and deal with the s*** life throws at us as best we can! I think it has taught me that life is short and precious, to appreciate those around you and never take them for granted as you don't know whats around the corner. To be spontaneous and do things while you can, just to appreciate life really, I don't want to get to the end of my life and have any regrets I didn't do something or think "what if".

Can I be updated to CD1 as well please, the witch has finally caught me
