If he has a nut allergy I guess you could squash up some of these sperm improving nuts and then act clueless!:rotfl:

My partner doesn't know what to say about what has happened he just thought you decide you want a baby and boom your pregnant. He didn't even know you had scans. (No kids in his family and his friends do not have children yet.)

Sometimes men say the most insensative things - when actually they don't mean it, it comes and wrong and they just want to make it better. Male pride I guess.

Hope he gives you a big hug. xx

Not generalising as I'm sure some men know all the details of EWCM, dpo, BFP etc. but overall I don't think they have much idea. Which I guess is fair enough, until they NEED to know to support us and are still useless.

OH didn't believe me at all that you can't get false +ve pg tests. When I had the m/c he was convinced the hospital had given us the wrong result in the first place (and just ignored the other 2 +ve tests we'd got at home after that). It was only when we had our follow-up and the consultant said she was sorry about the m/c that he even believed it had happened.

I think until they get to the point where there's an actual baby being handed to them it just isn't real.

    Hi ladies

I'm not pg yet but we want to get a move on conceiving #2 - I wondered if any of you could advise whether this was a good price, considering the amount of sticks and their expiry date?

    Thanks so much in advance.

  • Hey,

How is everyone? Congrats Debs by the look of things.

Random question but do any of you guys do pg tests without your other half being there? My fiance said to me the other day that he wanted us to do any together. I hadn't really thought about it.

As in actually wee on it with your OH in the room?? That's not for me! We both went to the hospital to get our results, so we were both in the room when they told us it was +ve, but I wouldn't POAS in front of anyone. :p

CD1 for me :( gutted. We've been trying for 15 months now, there must be something wrong, we've never even had a sniff of a Tlp. We're both young, healthy weights, do sport, don't smoke, bd loads at the right time. Pfffff.

Got an appointment with the Gynae in September to get the ball rolling on infertility testing.

Sorry to moan :( just feeling down

  • Loving the conversation about ways to kill the OH :rotfl:

Disney I use the test strips where you have to dip them in wee for 10 seconds, I once left the bathroom door open when I was on the loo peeing into a cup ( one specifically for this purpose I might add that gets used for NOTHING else ) to do my OPK, the look of horror on my OH's face as he walked past and saw what I was doing was priceless :rotfl: so no I think if I ever suggested that he would recoil in horror :rotfl:

Sorry to the ladies the nasty witch got, she's going to be paying me a visit very soon as well :(

Lillian I use these ones http://www.homehealth-uk.com/medical/ovulation-tests.htm

So I came home tonight and had a good cry and feel alot better. I think it's finally sinking in to OH how hard I'm finding all this and so he's agreed to be more supportive about it all. I'm going to work out when we went to the docs before TTC to discuss it all as I'm pretty sure it must be close to 12 months now as well, just so I can think about going back and seeing what we can do now, or if we just have to keep plugging away ( not sure if thats quite the right terminology to use :rotfl: )
