How does it help - relaxing? I have never heard of it but hey if it gets a BFP its worth a go.

    :)

Yeah it does make you relax, but (they say) it also stimulates certain points which can help "normalise" the system and get it ready for pregnancy. I know it's recommended to some people having IVF in the run up to it.

I have no idea if it's all a coincidence, but as it worked for me (when I got pregnant) I'm going to give it a go :)

I've had a full MOT of blood tests and have the all-clear on everything except iron levels which are apparently 18ng (whatever that means) so I've been given iron tablets. I'm not sure if taking these will impact TTC or not - I shall read the packaging when I pick them up - do anyone know if they will?

betty - this isn't medical advice, but I've been advised (a few times) by my consultant to take iron as my levels are always low. AFAIK it's fine when you're TTC, although always best to check with a dr if you're not sure. Be warned though, it can *ahem* slow things down a bit, digestion-wise. Drink lots and lots of water!

Katy & debs many congrats xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
If you can think it........it will happen
  • Well started spotting and honestly feel like I could cry :(

Guessing AF will be here in the next day or two. I just feel like it's never going to happen for us, we were NTNP for 3 months before "properly" starting to try in December ( by which I mean tracking ovulation etc ) so it's approaching a year now and I feel there must be something wrong now.

Katy and Debs congrats on the BFP's :j

It's incredibly normal (and very frustrating) for a healthy couple to take a year to conceive - within a year 95% of couples will conceive. Admittedly being in that 5% is incredibly frustrating. The "good news" is that after a year (depending on your pct) you can visit your GP and get tests if you're worried but hopefully you'll get your BFP before then. Might just be you take a bit longer. Alternatively there is something wrong that can be fixed, and if it can't as fluff keeps pointing out, there is IVF.

We're currently waiting for the results of my blood tests and DH's sperm kit to come in.

Thanks Code, and I'm sorry, I know others on here have been trying for alot longer than us. Things aren't as straight forward for us, I won't go into it on here as I don't want to give too much info away, but I think thats why I'm finding it hard as well.

I know it's perfectly normal for it to take this long for alot of people, just really starting to get me down now :o

But hey at least it's the weekend soon and I can treat myself to a bottle of wine now :D

I don't want to post this in the other thread as there are people there with FAR bigger problems than this and I am just a moany old cow, but DH is now doing the "it's not very nice for me living with you now as you're unhappy and not much fun" routine and I think I might actually kill him.

Suggestions for how to kill your husband and not get caught, please.

Don't apologise for feeling the way you feel. Just because some people have tried for longer doesn't mean you feel the frustration any less. I know exactly what you mean because it's not straight forward for us either and we wasted a lot of time not going for help because I did expect it to take a bit longer. It's frustrating, especially when other people seem to get there so much faster. Some of my friends are onto their third children since we started ttc.

angeltreats - if you figure out a way let me know. I think I need it for DH's 'I think you're being dramatic going for tests when there's nothing to worry about' speeches or his latest tell everyone that I'm making him go for tests for no reason when we haven't been trying that long thus making me look like a lunatic with Munchausens.

I will be VERY interested in the answers to this :p. OH finally came home about 11pm last night. I did think he might sleep in the spare room but I don't think he could be bothered to move all his junk off the bed. We didn't speak this morning, and I've arranged to go out for dinner with my sister tonight.... which is far better than staying in the house and getting angrier by the minute.
