Trying for a Baby Part 9

Don't let people get you down. Don't forget that being overweight isn't a sin against humanity. It's bad for TTC granted, but it greatly annoys me that people seem to feel that being overweight is a moral failing. Don't ever read those miserable gits on any article about plane travel. Seems its morally ok to be genetically tall, or an athlete, but shame on you if you genes tend towards being fat, or towards being a bit depressive and eating for comfort. Or if your life isn't 100% focussed on diet and exercise, but is a bit more full of stress, or illness, or fun and happiness or whatever.
And people who seem to think you should be always trying to conform. As soon as I discuss weight, suddenly you get diet tips, like I'm just too stupid to know that eating less and moving more is likely to work. What happened to appreciating the diversity of life!
/end rant
p.s. I'm also annoyed at you losing 8 pounds in a week! I've been doing WW for a month, and only lost 7... but I didn't weigh myself at the start of the first week for fear of the results, so have probably lost a bit more.
I wouldn't be too annoyed. Its just what my body does. As soon as I start a diet its like it's shocked and loses 8lb immediately. Then the following week its back to about 2, then the next month it's decided it knows what I'm up
to and its not releasing anymore reserves thank you very much and I have to ramp up the exercise.
I agree with you though. Why is it that its ok to attack a fat person (i.e. me) for being a bit chubby. Its not like I'm eating their share of the rations or blocking the doorways and I'm not using NHS resources. The guy was going on about how he was too scared to go to the gym in case anyone judged him but then said he'd judge me if I wasn't as fit as him. Grr. I bopped him on the head with my water bottle.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -

Nothing much happening here just looking forwards to a lazy weekend. We didn't do as much BD as I'd hoped this month so I'm thinking our chances aren't great. It turns out I have sciatica which pretty much put a stop to it!
hugs to all x0 -
Choco how awful, sounds like you need a cup of tea and a rest.
Afm I'm feeling really sick and bloated on the duphaston, yuck.

Totally not ttc-related but how on earth are you supposed to pick a new phone?? Can finally get rid of the piece of cr.ap I've been stuck with for 2 yrs but it's too confusing. I don't think I use it enough to make this worthwhile lol.0

Tea - I bought a phone I wanted the Samsung S3. I then got a sim only deal so I pay between £10 and £20 a month. I sold my previous phone on a mobile selling site and put that towards buying the phone.
I won't have a proper contract again. So expensive!!!!!3 Children - 2004 :heart2: 2014 :heart2: 2017 :heart2:

Hi All
Big congrats to recent BFPs and hugs to everyone having such an awful year.
We will be in 2014 before we know it for all those that are wishing for a new year for whichever reason xxxBaby on board - EDD 29th Sept0 -
Morning all!
Wow some of you really have had shockingly bad years. Poor things....keeping my fingers crossed that its all good news for all of us on here from now (especially with getting our sticky BFPs!)
We got hubby sperm analysis results yesterday and apparently he got told "normal - no further action". He was disappointed because they said "normal" and he was hoping for "excellent" :rotfl: I told him it doesn't work like that and "normal" is the best result you get! Men! So that's my bloods ok, his sperm ok and no hint of a TLP in 11 months....keeping my fingers crossed that we are in that 5% that just take a little bit longer! Although my doctor has agreed to progress to further tests on me now due to potential adhesions on my tubes.
Code - wow that weightloss is amazing! Well done! T2D is right though....being overweight isn't a sin to humanity and it is important to be healthy rather than skinny. Saying that tho I personally always feel a million times better about myself when I lose some weight.
Tea picking new phones is a nightmare! There are so many to choose from. Given that this is a money saving site....I would advise against iPhones as they are ridiculously overpriced IMHO. I used to have an iPhone 3 but now have a Samsung galaxy s3 mini which is great. Hubby has the s3 but that's too big for me. X
PartMouse - hope you are feeling less sick and bloated today xxx
Samtoby - big hugs xxx hope your hormones normalise soon xxx
Purcy - you poor thing for having sciatica. Hope you aren't in too much pain xxx
Chocoholic - how awful to witness that! Hope he is alright xxx
Off out for a charity family fun day today....currently trying to drag myself out of bed to do some exercise before we go! X0 -
Im another one with a vote for the GalaxyS3 mini...
(Though Im no phone expert - I use that one and love it!)
LOL at your husbands excellent super sperm cat lover bex....glad the results were good though x
Its interesting re weighloss - my friend has recently announced she is pregnant (has tried for years). She had one son 9 years ago when she was at her lightest weight - she lost weight again and got down for the second time to her lightest weight and lo and behold! Almost as if her body wants her to be that weight to conceive x0 -
Im off to spend the day with my gorgeous niece - she is 1 and into absolutely everything! - that's my exercise for the day!!0
