chelsea - ewcm isnt really a necessary part of the process - it just makes it easier for the sperm to get through your cervix. Loads of women conceive without it. If you're worried go and see your Doctor and they can test your estrogen levels.

Thank you for the congratulations. I wad feeling pretty good about it until I was chatting to one of my colleagues and he was giving me a hard time for not being in the gym and he pretty much said I was fat about 20 times. As if that wasn't upsetting enough, just been to the loo and discovered blood streaked cm - pretty much a statement from my body that I'm out for this cycle.

How rude!!:mad: If it makes you feel any better I'm eating a jacket potato the size of my head :o. I need it after the morning I've had, I swear some people are just put on this earth to ask stupid questions.
  • Just seen a elderly man get knocked over when I was walking out at lunch time :(. Really horrific to see, was only posting earlier saying you should appreciate life and this has brought it home. Really hope he's ok, there was an awful lot of blood coming out of his head. Someone had called an ambulance already and there wasn't a great deal I could do, I don't think I would have been any help at all, I was just panicking, saw a policeman on my way back and asked if they needed a witness statement or anything but they said no.

Really shaken up about it all :(

Sam. As your baby died at 9+3, your hcg levels will have been high. As a rule of thumb, they drop by half every 2-3 days but of course this may be different as your body didn't start the process naturally and I don't know what effect surgery has on everything.

I ovulated about 18 days after I started to bleed with the m/c, but of course my levels were much lower than yours and they had started to drop long before I started to bleed.

It is such a !!!!!! time and the waiting is the hardest part. Knowing there is nothing you can do to speed things up really hurts. Keeping my fingers crossed for you and everyone else on the thread. Take care xxx

I am sure my HCG was at about 100k plus so that is defiantly going to take a while!!

I got a card once that says things are only thrown at you if you can handle them. Sometimes I do wonder. I know it sounds bad but I am glad we are not the only ones with a bad run. I am now confident that all us that have had a bad run of luck have had our bad run and now August - December is a good run. BFP's coming out of our earholes preferably. I don't think its much to ask for. Especially as the Panda is pregnant - I did hear that on the radio and have a chuckle.

I am totally staying off caffeine (decaf doesn't do it for me.) and I haven't drunk alcohol for weeks. I am going to try not to but wine is talking to me in the supermarket lol.

Did anyone else hear that the Panda is having an Ultrasound - I wonder who gets the pleasure of that? And Code. I am totally jealous of the Panda.

Chocoholic_Chick that sounds terrible. I do hope he is ok. :)

Thank you for the great advice

So if I dont have EWCM does that mean I cant get pregnant? xx

I have this problem due to a lack of a cervix (although the girls from the 12+ thread will know of my recent TMI EWCM related successes!).

When I spoke to the FS about it, she did say lack of EWCM is a problem, as it just makes it harder for the sperm to survive much time, and the longer they are in there the better to catch the egg. I'm using conceive plus - the individual applicator ones, and using the whole thing. I know some people find it a bit much, but with the applicator thingy it's up high (where it needs to be) and not messily leaking all over the show!

Even before I didn't create much EWCM - but when I took cough medicine it was amazingly successful. I've always responded very well to supplements and medicines, so it may take a while to work for some people.

    good luck!

I've given up a lot to TTC, I even managed a weekend without alcohol but I can't give it up completely...

I have stopped worrying about limiting my monthly outgoing though and ordered myself a very shiny new mobile...

    Will make POAS interesting :D.

I definitely agree - the end of this year has got to be better for all of us.... panda included :p

chocoholic - that must have been horrible to see. I hope you're ok xx.

chelsea - one thing that can help with EWCM is good old water. Make sure you're drinking plenty and that can help *ahem* moisten things up a bit. :o:p Cough medicine can help too - it needs to have guaifenesin in, but avoid general decongestants as they can act like anti-histamines and dry everything out.

Don't let people get you down. Don't forget that being overweight isn't a sin against humanity. It's bad for TTC granted, but it greatly annoys me that people seem to feel that being overweight is a moral failing. Don't ever read those miserable gits on any article about plane travel. Seems its morally ok to be genetically tall, or an athlete, but shame on you if you genes tend towards being fat, or towards being a bit depressive and eating for comfort. Or if your life isn't 100% focussed on diet and exercise, but is a bit more full of stress, or illness, or fun and happiness or whatever.

And people who seem to think you should be always trying to conform. As soon as I discuss weight, suddenly you get diet tips, like I'm just too stupid to know that eating less and moving more is likely to work. What happened to appreciating the diversity of life!

    /end rant

p.s. I'm also annoyed at you losing 8 pounds in a week! I've been doing WW for a month, and only lost 7... but I didn't weigh myself at the start of the first week for fear of the results, so have probably lost a bit more.

I'd add that the only time I was a healthy weight in my life was when I was taking drugs most weekends, not sleeping or eating - other than a steady diet of beer and kebabs! Now I live on healthy food, but obviously a bit too much of it. And yet the moral police tell me that my old lifestyle is the right one, as I was a 'healthy' weight.
