BZ - Good Luck BZ. I have got my fingers crossed for you. There is going to be a big virtual party when you get knocked up. The dedication you have shown is an inspiration to us all during our low points.
N'aww shucks! :o I don't know about that :o but there would certainly be a party here in this house! Thanks for the crossed fingers! :D

I definitely have some raging SS going on, but am starting to get really concerned about how deep into the pit of the depression I'll plummet if/when AF arrives :o DH keeps telling me I smell different, which isn't helping either! :p (apparently women can smell & taste different to their partner's when pg ;)) 2 really close friends have very recently got knocked up too, so while Hope is running away with me I'm also daydreaming about being pg right along side them :o (did I mention it would be a plummet into the pit of despair? :p)

Fluffnutter, the amount of times I've seen women post that they don't want to take folic acid because they don't want to get too ttc obsessed, or don't like to take tablets, or some other daft reason...it riles me. They wouldn't be saying that if they were left to look after a child with a brain/nervous system developmental disorder for a day...

Hi, I hope you don't think this is spam, but I know some of you ladies are fans of One Born Every Minute. As some of you may know from the TTC thread, I work as an MSW in Yorkshire ;). This isn't my page (I'm not a good swimmer :o), but Jimmy's (the other maternity hospital in Leeds) are currently raising money for a birthing pool and other 'active birth' adjustments for our ladies. As a result some of the midwives are doing a sponsored swim which is the equivalent of swimming the Channel, anyone who'd like to sponsor can do so at:

Please don't feel obliged, I just knew some of you were local and / or fans of the show

P.S. Zippy - I will be having a little dance to celebrate your upduffedness when the joyful day arrives :j :j :j :j :j

CD20, no ov yet, and no signs of it coming on. Think I have to face facts, I am probably not going to lay an egg this month as I've never gone past CD17 before.

The most annoying thing is that it's been a record month for BDing at (what should be) the right time, we managed 6 out of 7 days even when we were exhausted and really not in the mood.

    Congratulations Hopelass! :j

I was so tired all weekend I couldn't be bothered to BD at all, luckily I got my peak this morning so I'll have to jump on OH tonight! :p

Can you update me to 0DPO Becca? :)

Got everything crossed for you Zippy! :)

Mrs TM - Hopefully those anoying hormones are the pregnancy kind and not the af kind. Have you ever had spotting like that at this point in your cycle?

Never this long before, only 1-2 days at ov, then spotting up to 3-4 days before AF. This hasn't even let up since ov and it's driving me bonkers! DH wanted me to test this morning. BFN of course. I'm 11dpo and feel like I'm out for the month due to this sodding spotting. Looks more like light AF to me now, but no cramps thank goodness.

DH has left for work, I'm not going to allow myself to cook today until I'm in a better mood, so I'll probably be reheating leftovers and eating the last two pieces of bread from the freezer for breakfast and lunch. I'm also not going to leave the house, but I need to clean and finish a doll that's already been paid for. The house turns into a wreck over the weekends, mostly because I don't clean so I can spend time with DH. I did end up washing up the dishes last night and doing a load of laundry, so that's something I don't have to do today. Now just to try and keep my stress level down so I don't yell at the bunnies.

Thank you everyone for your support. I'm going to be hopefully visiting the GP about my depression at least this week, but only if I can get over my insane fear of speaking on the phone to someone I don't know.

I'm probably going to get DH to call to make me an appt. He hates making phone calls as well, but isn't terrified of it. I followed an eating plan for 3 days this past week that's essentially vegan, lost 5 pounds doing that, but couldn't stick with it. Had a smoothie for breakfast saturday, half of an orange for lunch (we were out), and then a philly cheesesteak sandwich for dinner. Yesterday we slept through breakfast (well, DH did, I just didn't eat), but we had a good lunch - 2 eggs, half a tin of baked beans, two sausages, two slices bacon, and two slices white toast (that we are trying to use up to be rid of). For dinner we had pork roast, asparagus, roast potatoes (DH had roast carrots too), yorkshire puddings, and boston baked beans. DH had mustard glazed brussels sprouts as well. I tried the sprouts... Still way too bitter for my tastes.

I need to lose down to 150 pounds for me to be happy, and down to 120 for the doctors to be happy. I still need to lose nearly a husbands worth of weight! I feel like everything I've ever learned about weight, size, health, and losing weight is wrong. And that's saying a lot considering I spent 6 years paying for someone to teach me about it.

The last time I can remember weighing 150 pounds was when I was 12... I was 180 at 18. As of this morning I am 279.8 pounds. Highest recorded weight was 296 about 4-5 years ago. I was probably heavier, but my mom's scale wouldn't go over 300...

    Sorry for the ramble.

  • I agree with Claire Mrs TM. You've done so well with your weight loss so far on your signature it would be a shame for you to lose sight of that. Losing weight is so bloody hard, you can't avoid food because you need to eat- it's not like any other drug. I've struggled with being between 2-4 stone overweight for about 10 years so I know how tough it can be. I'm doing the 5:2 eating now which is the easiest thing I've ever heard of and have lost 5 lbs in two weeks- maybe something like that would be more suited to you than the constant deprivation of a diet (that's how I feel about them anyway! :) )

I hope either you or your DH manage to get you a doctors appointment this week- you don't have to suffer without help.

What is the 5:2 eating thing?

Also, I've started taking my vitamin D again. Hopefully that will help curb the anger and depressive feelings for a bit.

i want to join the partying for a tinyZ! :)

OK, i have my PMA list...
    1) this would have been the worst time to get pg as i would have felt pressure to save and buy a house before the baby was born.

    2) no way an egg that took 54 days to make was good enough to get fertilised and i refuse to blame myself/feel guilty for having PCOS so it's really not our fault it didn't work.

    3) just over 3 weeks til my clomid prescription! pretty down at the thought at first because i really thought i wouldn't need it but oh well. and it does irritate me that it's coming halfway through one of my monster cycles but maybe they'll agree to let me have norithisterone

    4) more time to lose weight

    5) more time to save for a house deposit - i've worked out that we can go and ask Nationwide for an agreement in principle at the end of march as we'll have 5k then and we can get a 95% mortgage from them and actually the house on rightmove i've fallen in love with is 80k - it looks weird (one of those odd ex council houses with panelling halfway up) and is next to a dual carriageway but lots of space, offroad parking and great location for us. really hope it's not sold by the end of march! lol

    6) i have a loving husband and family and we have our health and that's a heck of a lot more than some people have x
