Zippy - I'm nearly at my first goal, 5% of my body weight lost (exact numbers are in my signature). I'm going to try and go for 5% of my body weight for each goal. First one is 14.7 pounds. Bit over a stone and is right at 5% of 293. Once I hit that I'll weigh 278.3 (or close to it anyway). Then I'll take 5% of that (13.9 pounds) and so forth and so on so that I will be hitting those goals a bit faster to keep up my motivation.

I weighed on Boxing Day and saw that I was only 3 pounds away from my highest documented weight and decided that something needed to change. I've really been struggling with it since then.

I really do hope that the gp will refer me to a dietitian instead of just trying to pass it off or try to prescribe me any pills (yuck!). I feel like I need someone that can work with my lifestyle, my food allergies, my tastes and such so that we can find something that works and that I can stick with for the long term.

When do you say that it's no longer spotting and is actually AF? I know it will vary from person to person. I'm now getting cramps. The spotting that I've mentioned in previous posts has not been spots, more like solid pink, all the time, all times of the day. I've been wearing a pad for the last two days...

When I need a pad, I'd call it light AF, Mrs TM

My dad has done that 5:2 thing for a while now. He just has two days where he just has a sandwich or soup for lunch & dinner. So I think he just picks a day where he's busy with work or something. He also goes to the gym twice a week.

He only needed to loose about 1 stone but it has worked.

Plus it seems a lot easier than silly starvation type diets which lets face it don't work!

Hoping ill get a slightly stronger opk today.

Team lowe you are so lucky you can get a house for that price! Sounds like you could be in a new house very soon :)

    I thought so. :(

My AF's typically start with horrid knock you on the floor cramps, then 4-5 hours later, super heavy flow with lots of clots. Cramps disappear on day 2, flow stays strong for 3 days, stops for a day, then is medium for under 24 hours, then nothing. I've never had "light" AF, so I honestly cannot say I know what it looks like. :o

If this is AF, it means my luteal phase is definitely getting shorter. :(

Mrs TM, I'll stick my hands up too.

I've been overweight my entire life. How depressing sitting here typing that!

My hubby and I are following Slimming World diet plan in combination with calorie counting, as portion control was a problem and it's working great for us.

I lost 20lbs to get my BFP in 2012 and weigh a little less now than I did then. It took just short of a year to lose the extra baby weight (which was mostly gained in the 6 months after the birth through laziness and exhaustion, lol), so technically it took 15 months to gain it, and only 6 months to lose the baby weight :rotfl:

My hubby is my motivation as he had a "lightbulb moment" after approaching the doctor for help who basically said we will die an early death if we don't change. We both agree that we simply refuse to miss our baby grow up due to our addictions with food or surrender any chance of having another child. It's just not happening any more. We are in complete control of everything that goes into our mouths, so we CAN lose this weight.

I'm 252lbs today (maybe less when I weigh at my slimming club tonight) so I know how hard it is being in your shoes. My heaviest was 290lbs. I don't need this extra weight, I certainly don't want it and I'm going to change it.

I tend to go with CD1 is when you get red blood. I can often get 4+ days of spotting beforehand.

    Or you got ov wrong?

Tbh, that's the rule of thumb I've followed, but when I rang the FS clinic (it mattered what day I called cd1) they said it was a personal thing, that only I'd know basically, as some women never get "proper" AF bleeding, they just spot for x days. Go with your gut. I've often had days and days of heavy spotting before AF turns up proper. If you're using FF then I would pick spotting or light AF and then put in the notes that it was borderline, and you can go back and change it later if AF turns up for real.

Vitamin B complex is said to help with LP spotting btw.
