loulou123 - boo for a neg and for AF, so super big hugs for you.
codemonkey - I agree with you, have fun this month! I need to have more fun as well, and lets face it, if we were to get pregnant, we would know about it before any damage could really happen with the way we keep up with things! :rotfl:
Finally back home! GP prescribed low dose anti-depressants, had the cervical check (that was probably the weirdest feeling thing ever), and had a nurse look at my knee. Essentially, 400-800mg of ibuprofen every 4-6 hours, my vitamins (esp vit d) and allergy tablet, and the anti-depressant every night. If my knee isn't better in 2 weeks, I'll be getting physio for it, and if the anti-depressants don't help within 4 weeks, I'll need to go in for a check with the GP over it. As long as it works, I won't need to change it while ttc or if I do conceive, so that helps.
We were able to go to the market today (DH got the morning off to go with me to the GP, sweet thing) so that made me feel a bit better. I loved being outside until after I finished the grocery shopping and started to climb the hill home. Ugh.
I'm spotting now, but I think that's from the cervical exam. Nothing else really to report here other than I had a pepsi earlier and talked DH's poor ears off! That's the first caffeine I've had in a while.0 -
Lol code that actually sounds like fun, I'm forever dancing around the house but only when I think nobody can see!
Stuck in York train station at the mo waiting for my train home with stupid leaky boots and soggy feet humph
Hugs for the cd1s and general hugs x
Think I should ov soon my cm is so ew so hoping to get my cbfm tomorrow or Saturday it may just be wishful thinking but we shall see!0 -
Massive congratulations to Amy - that's fantastic news!!! :j Hope you have a very smooth and stress free pregnancy.
Code - totally understand where you are coming from although not just "older" parents but mine are both poorly too. Both my parents are registered disabled through ill health - Mum had a brain haemorrage 26 years ago, 9 strokes later, epilepsy and various other health issues but she's still with us and gives off not so subtle comments every now and then about "when you have children...." and "the neighbours have been asking if you're going to have kids....".
Dad - we've very nearly lost many times recently - 4 massive heart attacks, 1 quadruple heart bypass, 1 double heart bypass and fitting of an internal defibrillator at Christmas just gone....we're lucky to have him too although his health is still a major concern.
I would love to be able to give my parents grandchildren - they have 3 grandchildren/step-grandchildren from my Dad's daughters from his first marriage (not close at all) but I'm their only child together and am now 34. I haven't actually told them we have been TTC since November as I'm sure she'll always be pushing me for updates - I just field her comments with "one day...." but I wish that one day would bloody hurry up!
Quick question for you lovely ladies but how do I note which day I ovulated (finally)!? - My CBFM said peak on Tues & Weds this week so which one do I take as the OV day? I guess now that makes me 1 or 2 DPO but no idea which....
Love to you all
Gelly

Loulou hugs for AF. Aren't our bodies cruel sometimes?
CD21 here and OPK has gone pale again, plus a bit of mild cramps overnight and EWCM yesterday - so I'd like to call it and say I ov'd today so 0DPO for me please becca!
Off out for a drink tomorrow night... think I will leave it at the one for both TTC and economical reasons - £7 a cocktail in the bar we're meeting in  I'd rather have a curry bag meal deal from Asda for £7 (must be getting old :rotfl:)0 -
Hi all,
I am a first time poster but have been reading through this thread with interest.
I have been TTC since June 2012 with no joy so far.
My partner and I are both in our late 20s and have been together for 8 years.
I stopped my contraceptive pill in June 2012 and since then have had fairly regular cycles albeit with some variation in length (27,26,27,26,29,28,29,25,25,33,30). I have only used an ovulation kit once out of these cycles as my partner isnt keen on 'trying' when told on a certain date etc but with no joy despite getting a smiley face and bding a fair bit!
I've read through many of the previous posts on the thread and see many of you seem to temp and observe cm, I am completely lost in this area! Do you feel it is an important idicator I should try focusing on?
Many thanks for reading and any advice you may have for me0 -
Congratulations Amy:j:j
I wish there wasn't so much info or non-info on the net. It definitely doesn't help SSIng. Even although I had AF I keep reading there is still hope. Ok it was a strange one (two day spotting only when wiping, two day bleeding like normal and then nothing. usually spot 1/2 or one day and bleed four) but I wish I could just accept that this month was out again.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -

I could have written this post myself! I've just had about 3 days of spotting then only 2 days bleed only which 1 of them was what I would consider a normal bleed. I'm putting it down to sickness though as I have been feeling sick occasionally through the day since.
You still have a chance though, it's not over till the witch properly arrives!
Sorry to everyone who's got a bfn - there's still a chance, I have my fingers crossed for you.
AFM I've just heard the lovely news a child at work is showing her baby scans around  It's like I cannot escape at the moment. Just keeping thinking 'When is it my turn?!'0 -
