Hi everyone. Having the most incredibly low day. CD1 for me. 8 cycles and still a BFN.

I just find this so incredibly heartbreaking. Why? I can get my 21 day blood results later and off to the blood clinic again this week.

DP has his SA on 20th May and I still havent had my appt for the scan through.

Claire I understand exactly how you feel. I walk around town and it seems that every woman you look at is pregnant with another 1 or 2 in tow. I want a family and to be able to enjoy all of that.

sorry for bringing everything down x

Me too. I hate getting sports all the time. And to make it worse usually I use them as an ov sign but last week got loads and then ov never came!!

I get spots at ov time too - painful red ones :(
  • Hey all, hope you all enjoyed the fab weather this weekend.

Sorry not been on for ages, had a bit of a carpy month. Was really convinced we had done it this cycle ... lots of bding at right time, and also I have had a stinking cold for 2 weeks now. I stupidly read somewhere that when you have a fertilised egg your body's immune system drops so your body doesn't reject it as a foreign body ..... so convinced myself that I had got this cold because of that. And then AF turned up bang on time.

At least it meant I could take some drugs for the cold but it is still hanging around and I'm thoroughly fed up.

So CD10 now for me and awaiting ov.

Out tomorrow for St Georges Day and then we are both going to give up the alcohol while I'm high and peaking on CBFM and then if course I'll be off for the 2WW.

My friend had her baby just over a week ago, she was 5 weeks early and as she wasn't putting on weight they made her stay in for just over a week, they were both really miserable but she finally went home on Saturday.

Work have put some fancy pants system in so they are constantly monitoring the websites you are on so I'm just using my phone to post and read ... bit of a pain tbh!

So sorry I've not been around much, will try and keep up with you all though but prob won't post much.

    OH still job hunting :-(.

SBDTA and congrats to the BFPs!

    xx

Same here, never used to have them as a teenager, but now at 35 I get them for a week around OV and look like a pizza.

Ugh just had text to remind me of my drs appt & so of course when it popped up I can see all my reminders they previously sent me when I was pregnant.

I'm really worried about the appt tomorrow because if I get a stupid dr I am liable to burst into tears in frustration.

So that I can have a plan incase of this, for those of you ( thinking of you Code with your 'have sex on cd14' idiot,) this happened to did you just book another appt straight away with someone else, ask them to refer you to someone??

Got a painful spot on my chin hope its a sign of ov although I don't have much hope. My temps are now low for 3 days after an insane zig zagging pattern.

Chocgirl - sorry about cd1. I know exactly what you mean about cycles where everything is screaming "symptom" but you're still not pregnant.

Emylou - so sorry about your chemical. Huge hugs.

Littleme - hugs for the 8 months. Know how rubbish that feels.

Ttc39 - no advice sorry but hugs anyway.

Claire - are you having another dodgy cycle? I get spots around ov time too - big red ones all along my jawline. It's awful. I'm supposed to be all sexy and alluring to get my panda husband interested and instead I look and behave a bit like Linda Blair in the Exorcist.

Afm nothing doing here. More spotting, more cramps (come on stupid body, .I'm 12dpo and AF isn't even due til Thursday, give me a break!!). Got a mega headache and sinus pressure and my nose keeps bleeding. Also decided to do one of my ics because I need to get back on the 5:2 wagon and DH didnt want me to if I was pregnant (kept telling him I'm not but he wont believe me til AF is here) and got another stupid evap which had me squinting at it for ages.

To make matters worse systems at work are down and it's not like I can surf the internets because they're really strict and know exactly what you're looking at so it's not like I can fill my time googling "12dpo, bfn, can still be pregnant" like the total crazy lady that I am. No codemonkey, you are not pregnant. Grrr.

Claire16c - I once cried at the doctors reception and got an emergency appointment there and then, so crying might not be a bad thing. I didn't plan it but I was ill, tired and a bit scared. I hope they take you seriously but be clear with them on what you want.

That's what I should have done but I didn't, partly because you can't make advance appointments with my GP or choose who you see. You have to phone in the morning and take whoever is available. I'm quietly cooperating with the moron (ahem doctor), obviously ignoring the stupid CD14 advice whilst trying to lose weight and feeding DH vitamins. Will go back in 5 months and will hopefully to see someone else.

Good luck. Hope your experience is better. I'm sure most GPs are more clued up than Dr Textbook-cycle-notmarriedtoapanda.

  • Hi ladies I'm wondering if I could ask for some advice, I'm a long term lurker posting under a different user name as family/friends know my original name and I don't want it common knowledge I am TTC#2

I have been tracking my cycle and ovulation for a few months now using OPKS. The main problem I have is since having my first child, my sex drive is non existent, I wouldn't even describe it as low, as that would be over egging it. I have read a lot about people taking maca root for this issue, but I know there are some side affects, has anyone taken maca root for this reason? Are there any other herbal things that can be taken?

    TIA x
