Oh ladies, it's 1.30am and I'm sat posting on here as I don't know what to do with myself......my gorgeous Grandad passed away tonight

Words can't express how I'm feeling right now.

He was a fighter to the absolute end and I'm so glad I went to visit him last night although he wasn't really there - just a shell that vaguely resembled him.

Cherish those you love so much.

    Hugs
    Gelly

    Congrats ejecoms! *claps*

I'm so sorry Gelly, its good that you were able to be there. *big hugs*

I have had quite a few tests, at the start of TTC I had several 17 day cycles which worried me a LOT so I pushed to have stuff done early. Being 35 I don't want to have to wait for ages and THEN find out something was wrong all along, and.. I'm just not very patient. We have health insurance and although they wont cover much fertility wise they will cover the tube test I think so I might arrange for them to do that for me if doctor wont.

I have ordered the thermometer, but I'm confused as to when I use it, all the guides say "when you first wake up" so does that mean at 4am when I get insomnia kick in or 6am when I "admit" I'm awake? :p I "make" hubby BD all through the "fertility window" I read on the BBC ovulation calendar (and the outlying days too if I can! He's in rest mode ATM!)

I'm really sorry Gelly. I know exactly how you feel and although nothing can be said that will take the sadness away, try to think of happy memories to keep you going.

    *hugs*

  • I'm so very sorry to hear your news Gelly :kisses3: Your grandad may not have been able to respond to you but he'd have known you were there the other night. I hope in time you will be able to cherish those memories of the last time you saw your dear grandad.

    Congratulations ejecoms! :j

Saw my pregnant-with-twins friend yesterday, boy oh boy she is huge (I didn't say that to her, I think everyone else has "helpfully" pointed it out :o)! She's got a 3 year old so finding things tough. It will be so worth it when she holds her little ones in her arms in July.

Boring old CD6 today, ordered some OPKs so going to start them on CD12 just in case I'm ov'ing freakishly early (38 day cycles on average, if you miss out the 50 something day anomoly) and missing it. Otherwise, just hoping that the fact that the sun's come out and I've shaved my legs for the first time in months will do the trick

    Hi all,
Gilly so sorry to hear your news. It sounds like you have Los of wonderful memories of an amazing man to hold on to.

Ejecoms congrats :j it is lovely to hear success stories from people that have been trying a while.

Please can I be updated to 4dpo it is a bit of a guess as I forgot my CBFM this month on hols but I had the MOST PAINFUL EVER pains for nearly a week before ovulation. But at least this cycle has been more than 14 days so it is some kind of progress!

I never have the righ answer either when people ask about ttc. Why do they ask? Sometimes I just feel like saying, we're just enjoying the s*x while we can, and then see what they say :rotfl: it really is such a personal question!

    Good morning all!

I've been lurking on this thread for a few days now and finally plucked up the courage to rejoin this thread after a almost 2 years.

Bit of a background from me, DH and I are going to attempt to try for #2 after having my daughter April last year. I was on this thread the first time and I do seem to recollect some familiar names on here now from then i was on here the first time.

I'm also after a bit of advice as well for those ladies that have been on Cerazette. I was put on it after having DD in april last year and I came off it on the 14th Feb this year and AF STILL hasnt made an appearance. Now I have read lots of horror stories googling but just wanted some reassurance that they will return and I will have perfect 28 day cycles (like i used to) as DH and I are now ready to start trying.

I have no idea if im ovulating... i have taken the odd opk since coming off the pill but with no AF have no idea when to test. Oh and Im definitely NOT pregnant (I wish! :))

Anyways big hello from me, I'm a bit slack at posting but lurking in the background.

Congrats to tose with BFPs and good luck to those testing!!

    Gops x

    I'm really sorry Gelly. :(

Hope the caffiene cut-down goes well Code. :) I have switched to decaff at work and only have a can of Coke or a cup of coffee on a night as a little treat. I feel a bit better for it I have to say, although as I was Caffiene Girl at work it raised a few eyebrows when I switched! :p

Any luck with your sex panda?! ;)

Your poor OH having to have surgery Tasha. :( Hope you get your BFP this month so you don't have to worry about him being out of action! :)

Hope you Wednesday is better than your Tuesday was TL. :) It's the Hump Day after all! I have to be careful who I say that to in the office... the young lads think I'm coming onto them! :rotfl:

Hope the journey with your MIL isn't too bad Loulou, enjoy the cuddles once you're there. :) I have to say that I struggle with seeing babies a lot less than I do pregnant women so hopefully once all these women in your life are no longer showing off their fertility it'll be easier to deal with. These babies are not *your* baby which is probably why they don't bug me as much as big bellies. :)

My BIL skirted the 'when are you having a baby' question quite cheekily the other day as he'd asked us first (and we brushed it off saying in a few years time maybe :o) then stated in front of his parents that he and his GF are 'Enjoying practising right now!'. :p

    Congratulations ejecoms. :D

I caved last night and ate the Malteser bar. It wasn't a patch on the bunnies, but still pretty nice. :) Oh and speaking of my bunnies, my OH has helped himself to 2 out of my stash, I've only got 1 left now! He is very lucky that I was feeling super chilled last night when I found out or he'd have found himself in very hot water! :(:(:(

ETA: Welcome Goppers. I was on Cerazette and it took about 60-odd days for my first AF to arrive. :o I've now got nice 28/9 day cycles but it took about a year for things to properly settle down into a reliable routine. Sorry, that's probably not what you want to hear! :)
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

    Big Hugs Gelly xxx

    Congratulations ejecoms. xxxx

So I am back working for 3 weeks for my old employer. Sadly my big boss passed away very suddenly at the age of 55 and they have asked me back to cover while they get straight. Feels very odd to be back.

Tested this am bfn so I guess no B'day baby for me :( looks like I will be spending my 40th trying to forget that I should have been having my baby on that day :(:(:(:( and not PG again :(:(:(:(:(
If you can think it........it will happen
