Trying for a Baby Part 9

Thanks Twigpig, I do feel a little better today thanks, chocolates had to be all scoffed yesterday as I'm doing 5:2 and today is a fast day! (I'm not sure necking a load of Aero balls is part of the diet though!:p)
I don't take my temperatures, I don't really know where to start with all that, is there a good guide/equipment you can recommend to get started? I don't want to spend a fortune on kits but maybe it would be good to reassure myself that things are "happening".
You don't need to lose weight to do couch to 5k! There is even a blog called "fat girl running" you can look up. You don't have to run FAST!0 -
Don't know if I've said this before, but you can go to your local park run which is held in most areas on Saturday. It's free and you can run or walk the 5k. It's great as there are a bunch of people which always motivates me.MFW 2016 No 68 £1300/£8500 No new toiletries Cook sth different0

picklekin - Ha, you should try that app. It stops you scoffing everything on one day, lol. Why couldn't we love apples as much as chocolate, lol. And running, or even jogging very slowly would still be a huge leap for me. I'm knackered running out of the rain from the driveway to the front door!
Temping is pretty easy. You basically need a thermometer that has 2 digits after the decimal place and you take your temp ideally at the same time each day (but first thing before you get out of bed). You then add the temp each day into a website and it tells you when you've ovulated (so you can rest from trying once you know you've ovulated). Basically, your temp spikes when you ovulate and the app can also predict when OV might happen based on previous data you've entered. The website is free www.fertilityfriend.com and if you don't have a thermometer already at home, Amazon has one for £4.99. Might even find one cheaper. Any brand will do as long as it has 2 places after the decimal point.

Hope that helps. Other ladies might have more info if anyone wants to add to what I've saidTTC #3..........0 -
Good luck to the ladies attempting C25K, I can't run! Tried and failed.
My knees are knackered now so anything other than a fast walk is out of the question.
Sorry to hear about your Grandad Gelly.
I spent the evening at my brother's cuddling my tiny nephew. Ahhh he's so lovely.I thought I'd have awful jealous feelings towards them all, but I just love the little guy and don't feel anything unpleasant at all.
It's nice to practice on someone else's baby so I'll feel less panicked *when* I get PG!

pinklekin I am glad someone else asked the question as I wondered how to get started on that!
Just had the news that DH has to go in for neurosurgery at the end of the monthNothing TOO serious just a problem with his spine but its going to put him out of action for at least the whole of May - need to BD the month away but doesn't feel much point when I still haven't had a proper AF since Implanon removal.
The family have decided that early next year we're off to European Centreparks, me and DH, my parents and my two brothers with their DW's and 3 kids each.. I was hoping to have a little one of our own to take along or at least be so fat and pg I don't have to drive there but its increasingly looking like thats not going to be the case. I think those banana cupcakes will take a hammering when I get home twigpig ;-) I might even have to stop off for one of these infamous Malteser bars tonight now too!:j Married to the Love of my Life 02.08.2014 - Now I'm Mrs E :j

The app: if you have an iPhone type 'c 25 k' in search on the App Store and it comes up, it's free. It's like a black colour.
I think there are quite a few though that pretty much do the same thing! The nhs ones are in the podcast bit and are free too!0 -
Well all I can say for all those thinking of running - is my hips are killing me! Have text DH to say I need a massage tonight...havent had a 'no' back yet! Def going to go out again on Fri though.
Twigpig - Im a coffee drinker...I really have cut down since the miscarriage. Right down to 3 cups a day.. Need to get down further though so decaff is going to be the way to go!0 -
Decaff tea is fine when you get used to it, I gave it up about a year ago to try and help with my insomnia, but glad I did now I am TTC. The bonus is you get to enjoy a REAL caffeine rush if you ever do have a coffee heh heh. I'm not sure I can taste the difference with coffee at all, but you do have a week of headaches.
(It made no difference to my insomnia)
