Trying for a Baby Part 9

Congratulations ejecoms
wishing you a happy 9 months.
I'm preparing myself for a trip to see my 3 week old niece on Saturday, really dont want to go (3 hour journey each way with MIL too!) I want to see the baby but I've spent the last year surrounded by pregnancies (my brother in law, 2 work colleagues, husbands cousin and our best friend) and now the actual babies are all due in next couple of months and I'm still getting BFPs every month. Is it ever going to be my turn? And as lots of hubbys family will be there, we will get the inevitable "when are you having one" questions and more then likely the ever helpful "aren't you leaving it a bit late" statement.....
Sorry for rant think I'm just feeling a bit sorry for myself this evening!0 -
Congrats ejecoms! :T Wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months
It's so nice to hear of a BFP from somebody who has been trying a while. Makes me feel much more positive! I'm on cycle 7 of TTC which I appreciate isn't too long but it certainly feels like it given I have a few friends that have recently announced their pregnancies on the first month of TTC. So pleased for them but a teensy bit jealous:o
Ejecoms - you are also making me consider investing in a CBFM! I've been tempted for a while so maybe after payday I'll have a look on amazon.
AFM - I'm expecting AF on Thursday based on my past cycles but as my luteal phase has tended to be quite short, I've been taking vit B complex for the last month to try to see if I can extend it so hopefully I'll manage to extend my luteal phase and have a longer cycle.....or fingers crossed get a BFP!
Loving the chat about malteasers bars.... Mmmmmm nom nom nom! Unfortunately I'm on a diet and healthy eating plan so have to wait till my 'naughty' day on Sunday. I really need to lose some weight as even my 'fat' work trousers are too tight at the moment.....TTC is good motivation to exercise and eat healthily tho. Every time I get fed up, I just think about how it should take me one step closer to BFP.
Anyway - hope everyone is well and yay for BFPs!0 -
Catloverbex - I have to say for us, the CBFM wasn't any better than ovulation sticks because the first month I got 20 days of 'high' readings and then 2nd month I got 11 days of 'high' and then 'peak'. I don't know if I did ovulate the first month but if I did the CBFM missed it whereas ovulation sticks might have picked it up. I would look on ebay for one - they seem to go for about £30-40.0

I hope so Code! Supposed to be 19c on Sunday!
Well at least if you do it tonight you know it's the right time. And if there's anyway at all you could get him to do it tomorrow then there's nothing else you can do this month anyway. Yay for opks!0 -

A 3 hour journey with the MIL would be enough!
Hope you don't get any annoying questions. If they really annoy you you could always launch into a lecture on cm & opks just to see their faces :rotfl:0 -
Ugh loulou, I hate those stupid questions. I never have a good answer.
Claire - opks are awesome. I like seeing 2 lines on a test.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
...so is that conceived in September or born in September? X x
Conceived. I know it's silly, but it's nice to imagine.
Congratulations ejecoms. :j
Catloverbex - I think the CBFM is good for telling you when you are soon to ovulate and that's most useful if you don't ovulate on the same cycle day each month. I found this very useful when I came off the pill and my cycles were varying.Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0 -
Congratulations ejecoms!
I ordered some ovulation sticks (opks?) from amazon yesterday and they arrived today. Think I'm due to ovulate in the next few days although my cycles are not very regular. Of the four cycles since I stopped the pill, the lengths have been 50, 21, 34 and 25 days long. So when I say I "think" I'm due to ovulate, I don't really have a clue!!0 -

I came of the pill in June and had irregular cycles. However the last three have been 30/31 days so I think it settled down after 8 months. Hopefully yours will too.Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0
