My opk is 2 shades off positive. Got a zumba class later so am not drinking anything for an hour or two and hopefully will get a positive before I head off.

Yay! Definitely bd tonight then! As sometimes I think it's best to do it just before the positive to get the sometimes ready & waiting!

Positive opk now. And typically, DH has announced he is going to the pub with his mates tonight so has been instructed not to drink. Sigh. Claire we will follow your advice and BD one day...

Meant to say earlier, I've also cut way down on the caffeine (sob sob I love it so much) because it suddenly started making me feel jittery and grumpy. I work in IT so have spent most of my adult life living on energy drinks and my body has clearly burnt out on the caffeine. Limited to 1 Pepsi max a day. Sob.

Woah woah woah code, let's not get drastic, what's all this talk of one Pepsi max?? Think ttc has finally sent you mental lol

For those switching to decaff, try the millicano, think it's kenco, but it's laaavely so might make the switch easier :)

Horrible Tuesday, bad times at work then I've had a scale and polish and a filling right at the back and its now sore where she numbed it x

Twigpig, she said that I would be and predicted a girl in September. She also said that I need to prepare spiritually to be a mum. I think my worries about whether to start a family and whether it would even happen for me and my hubbie have meant that I haven't really let myself imagine being a mum and caring for my little one. It's nice to picture it in my head now.

You are crazy to wake up at 5.30am to temp!!! You would still spot your post ov peak if you have a lay in. My GP thought I was crazy to be temping daily so she'd section you! ;)

Picklekin, you've managed to squeeze in a lot of tests in just 8 months. I'm getting my blood test results on Sat, but I've been told a progesterone reading that looked very good. You'll enjoy Rome as it's lovely and full of history, especially the Vatican. It was one of our stops on our honeymoon about 18 months ago.

Temping is a really cheap way of monitoring your cycles, and I've been told that it's the most certain home method of knowing you've ovulated. Others may know better but I read that your body can prepare to release an egg and give you positive opks and ewcm, but a temperature spike only occurs if it happened. The difficulty is that it's a restrospective measurement so other methods help you know when start BDing. :)

    BFP!

I'm so excited! I'm now CD33 and had a positive pregnancy test! Finally, after over a year!

What we did differently this month was that it was the second month of using the CBFM and I got a peak this month on CD17 and we DTD on CD15, 17, 18 and 19 (don't think I could have done that again if it hadn't worked this time!). I had some spotting on CD28/29 which I now think must have been an implantation bleed.

Sorry I haven't posted much - I've been trying to distract myself from the 2WW - and sticky baby dust to all!

    Love, Ejecoms

I'm sure as long as he doesn't drink that much that he'd either pass out or er not get it up, he'll be fine! And I'm assuming he wouldn't be drinking that much anyway so fingers crossed for you! At least you know this cycle you're timing it perfectly.

I'm trying to make sure we do it tne day before the positive, the day of & 1 after. Anything else is a bonus. The problem is getting in the one before the positive as it basically means doing it every couple of days in the lead up... And I can not believe the one time we managed it was the one time I didn't ovulate

Congratulations ejecoms! Just goes to show that sometimes it does take longer for perfectly fine fertility people but you get there in the end :)
Hope you have a happy and healthy nine months x x

I know. I know. I blimmin love the Pepsi max so this is painful. Also my workouts are less intense without the caffeine boost. Grr. I want my caffeine tolerance back.

Wish we could do that but my sex panda will need a couple of days to recover. Incidentally the pandas at Edinburgh zoo are gearing up to (probably not) dtd too. So maybe I'll get lucky too.

Hopefully the better weather will give you all a nice ov.

    Congratulations ejecoms.
