I was meant to be sjlou but boss vetoed the time off, now trying for a week later, still waiting to hear *grumble* In the mean time we are planning a camping trip for wedding anniversary, not everyone's cup of tea I bet but we love it, and gets OH away from damn PC for a bit! I hope you have a wonderful time, you can't get sick enough to avoid ice cream AND pizza surely? :D

Sorry tinkwings, do try and think of something to do on your b'day to take your mind off it :( the one teeny tiny plus of a BFN is surely a glass of wine?

Not sure if anyone else has heard from them or not, but ClearBlue called today and the equipment should be here by Friday! DH and I have decided to take it easy this month. I'm not going to temp or bother with anything really. I honestly at least want to have a play with the monitor! :rotfl:

Had a good visit with the dietitian today. She likes how I've been eating, and she's pushing the GP to have me tested for Coeliacs and to have him start treating my depression. She thinks that the depression caused the weight gain, and not the other way round. I hope I can see a therapist instead of needing medication, but if they do need me on medication, hopefully they will use a ttc friendly one.

Anyway, things are slowly starting to look up here.

Hugs to everyone who needs them!

I don't know your history, Mrs_T_M so may be way of the mark but, AFAIK, there's a link between coeliacs and depression, i.e. the former can cause the latter.

Hi! Sorry I've been absent but life has been getting in the way and getting me down. Didn't get chance to BD last month but ended up with a perfect 28 day cycle.

I will read back over the last 2-3 days but won't read any further than that I'm afraid.

Hugs to all that need it and congrats to all the BFP's.

I am cd5 today and am feeling positive about this month

Pickle ah that's rubbish. maybe later in the year? (glad I'm not going mad imagining things!)
Mrstm I've had the second consent form to sign. not got around to sending it off yet though. Sounds like you've had a good appointment with the dietician.

I haven't seen that research paper yet, but I know that the ingestion of gluten when there is an intolerance or even a sensitivity can cause a myriad of problems, including reduced fertility and malnutrition. The thing that the GP doesn't believe is that malnutrition does not necessarily equal skinny. I've been eating wheat for a year now, so if anything is going on, it should show up in a test.

Everyone on my dad's side of the family has been diagnosed with depression, and everyone on both sides of my family have been and are overweight/obese.

I know I have a problem with barley (within 15 minutes of eating anything with it, I will have a full blown migraine and will fall asleep while standing/walking). The good thing is that since sliced loaf bread is a trigger food for me anyway (if I have one piece I'll keep wanting more until I finally break down and have 4-6 slices of toast at a time!), once the loaf we have is gone, I'm not buying any more. I eat less pasta now than I did back in the US, so cutting that out wouldn't be that big of an issue. Besides, meat, veg, and fruit are all already gluten free! :D

Hopefully we will find out more soon! :)

Oh dear Mrs_T_M it must be hard without bread, one small glimmer of niceness if you like me love pizza express pizza, you can take in a gluten free base and they will turn it into a delicious pizza!

Went to the drs yesterday to ask about my epically long post-pill cycles. He said it can take up to a year to regulate and to just give it more time.

Then, AF arrived today. Am so glad I fiiiiinally get to start a new cycle! And also quite glad that it's on my medical records so that if things aren't back to normal after we get married in Sept I might be more likely to get some help.
