Thank you for the advice :)

Im currently on my 7 day break between packs, Then I have 2 more packs left

From the advice you gave its not worth going back to the drs for a presciption.

So approx 4 months of being off the pill before trying. Eek!!

Sorry for a naive question but is there an alternative to condoms that wont affect my cycles?

Are there any cervix checkers on here?

How on earth do you tell if it feels open??

Last week when I had the positive opk it felt 'medium/soft' now it feels much harder so not sure if I am fertile now. But I don't get how you feel open or closed?

Chelsea you could start charting & using opks. I did that for about 7 months when we stopped ttc for a while.

You might want to use condoms the first month whilst you work out what you're doing.

I'll look into the mechanics of that. I know you have to buy a thermometer and use it first thing and you buy opks in boots? or maybe cheaper online?

Sorry I must sound such a dimwit but Ive never TTC before or monitored my cycles :o

Have a look on the fertility friend website it will explain all :)

I buy opks on the home health ltd website some people but them from amazon, it's much cheaper!

A lot of catching up to do. Apologies if I've missed anyone......

atton - Hope your OH infection has all cleared up now. I agree with TCD about sperm being able to live for days too. And buy the size 14 jeans, you crazy woman! :p

fluffnutter - 35 is too old for IVF! Yeesh. Can you move house to fall into another PCT area? I know it's a little extreme, but needs must and all that :)

kscarlet - I'm crossing my fingers that your TLP turns into a HUGE BIG FAT JUMP IN YOUR FACE POSITIVE :D

TCD - The gp says it only takes once, but won't give you clomid. The gp should tape themselves and listen back and realise how daft they sound sometimes! I'm glad you and your OH have had "the chat". Remember it's you and your OH that have to go through the process and you should have some control in what you want. If you'd rather not leap straight into IVF, then do what feels right for you both. And I have no idea what triphasic is, but it sounded positive so yay you! ;) :rotfl: Oh, and I'm the first in line behind you as a comfort eater. It does make you feel better even if deep down you know it will make everything harder. That said, you're a braver woman than me going to the gym, I'd need an oxygen tank and one of electric zimmer things to move me from machine to machine, sounds exhausting...... :)

samtoby - We're evening BD people. Hubby goes out before 6am, so mornings have no chance! :rotfl: I can only imagine how stresses you'd be in the first 12 weeks after a BFP, but do try and take one thing at a time, or you'll end up in a meltdown.

loulou - hugs for AF :(

Code - Love that the hubby has agreed that no excuses will do for BD time, but what if you're not in the mood..........

fingerscrossed - hugs for AF :( You can feel just as down as everyone else. Seeing AF come is crushing for everyone trying for a baby.....

becca - you're a star for doing the lists. thank you :)

MrsBunny - You made me laugh "I want a baby and I want one now!" :rotfl: I agree that it's so hard seeing pregnant people, it's like something twists inside you. So hard to describe, but we all feel it and know that it's there. It must be something like the maternal instinct, you just can't help it.....

kynthia - I'm sitting here feeling sicky too at 6dpo - we're both crazy! I think it's cos it's on my mind, I'm making myself feel sicky. It's like the stomache nerves you get before going into an interview...... Not sure how to get rid of them though, lol

january - hugs for AF :(. Your cycles look fine to me. They're close enough to 28 day cycles. Not sure what you could do to lengthen them???? Um, anyone?

birdie - My OH is taking zinc and did the first time round. No idea if it does any good, we we figure that it can't do any harm...... hugs for AF :(. I'm very jealous of your holiday :p

TeamLowe - So jealous of your holiday too. If you get a BFP in NY, will you call the baby Liberty or Manhattan? Well, if it's good enough for Posh and Becks, lol

time2deal - thanks for offering to cover the lists for Becca :)

Code - what a big pile of tosh from your gp - I'd move gp, I honestly would and I have done myself. I even encouraged my hubby to leave his crappy gp and come to mine, and it really was the best thing. You rely on these people to help you when you need it most. If you have a crap one, get rid! Honestly....... oh yeah, and just relax and stay calm :p (I have visions of you stabbing her in the eye with her own pen) :rotfl:

fannyanna - Loved your post. I could sense the excitement. I was like you were typing at 100 miles an hour :rotfl:

Claire - stick number 17? I love that you're counting! :rotfl: I don't like the idea of anyone checking my cervix, even me ;)

phew - that was a big post :)

Could I ask one of you lovely chart gurus to look over my chart. My temps have been up and down all over the place all this month. I have dotted crosshairs, but my temp is now static. FF thinks OV was last week. Can't say I've noticed any ewcm this month....... Any thoughts?

The red line is at 36.35 for temp - what is that trying to tell me?

I can also still view my chart from the BFP for DS1, it's a little eratic too and my red crosshairs never went solid then either. Can't see how to share it as it's from Apr 11..........

    Good afternoon ladies!

remember when you first start it’s so exciting, you see signs in absolutely everything and you’re convinced you’re going to get pregnant.

    Crazy OPK lady

Ha ha Fanyanna - this sums my current situation up perfectly!! Just entering my second week of 2ww and I'm seeing signs in absolutely Everything. I'm trying not to get too excited and set myself up for a fall if/when af shows but it's difficult :o most of the symptoms i've probably made up/never noticed before anyway!?
AF due Friday but sometimes comes early so will be on standby from Wednesday, will test on Sunday if nothing. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed it's a successful month for us all.

Can I please go on the testing list 31st March

Welcome FingersCrossed I am also just starting out on the ttc journey and agree it is a worrying/frustrating/impatient times but hopefully we'll all get our bfp soon

Welcome Mrs Bunny, I am in a similar situation to you, this is my first proper month of ttc and I am soooo impatient. My sister in law is pregnant and whilst i am pleased for her I am also a bit jealous and it is not nice :o

January - my average cycle length is also 26 days, I don't think it is anything to worry about (at least that is the one aspect of ttc I'm not worrying about!?)

Hugs for those having rubbish times at the mo, lets hope easter marks the start of spring, warmer weather and babies for us all!!

twigpig - i think it stays dotty unless you add in other signs to confirm it, like ewcm or OPK results but there's a definite shift there, so i'd say you oved when it thinks you have, well done lol
and the baby would be called Statton. duh :rotfl:

atton - 60 wees in a night????? you need to see a doctor, that's really not normal!

Claire - re: cervix, try and stick the tip of your finger in there! also after birth or miscarriage it's a line when it's closed due to the muscles having contracted or something. so mine is a line when it's closed and a circle when it's open, which makes things easier. you need to be tracking the pattern but i know mine is post-ov when it feels as hard as the tip of my nose

  • Feeling a bit blue and grumpy today. I just want to be pg. I know we've only been trying 4 months but I wasn't prepared for it take any time at all. I don't want to rub it in and I know many of you have been trying much, much longer, but DD was completely unplanned, conceived the only time I'd ever not used protection, when I hadn't had a period for 7 months, so I'd kind of got it in my head that we were some sort of super-fertile couple :rotfl: Apparently we weren't - just *incredibly* lucky.

Hugs to all CD1 ladies, welcome to newbites, and above all, sorry for my self pitying moan.
