Not looking forward to the morning. I have to go to the hospital for my first blood test, as well as go again on Tuesday and Thursday. I hate blood tests, I hate the disruption of going three times in one week and I hate the fact I have to go all the way to the hospital instead of my local doctor's surgery (but their times and booking system are appalling).

As well as the rubella and thyroid check I'm also having a cholesterol test tagged on as it's something I monitor. Which means a 12 hour fast and all I can think about is the coffee & walnut cake in the fridge. :rotfl:

How soon can you have pregnancy symptoms? I felt nauseous this evening but I'm only cd 22 (as it's after midnight now) and 5 dpo? I'm probably being hyper aware as normally I'd have paid no attention to this feeling.

    Testing List
    january - Weds 27th March
Did a longer post but lost it so a smaller post than was intending.

Looks like AF has come, late night 24th. If so this is cycle 10 starting now :(. My cycles seem short compaired to most on here which I'm worried about.
My cycles lengths since starting in August ; 25 days, 24 days, 28 days, 26 days, 25 days, 28 days, 22 days, 27 days and 26 days. So if this is AF 25th will be CD2 as they say you should count from the day no matter how late. I am sad that another cycle seems to have been 'wasted'.

Please tell me I'm not the only loon who has things like this planned out?!
I've planned all sorts. What cloth nappies I'd buy, what cot etc. I even have a bib stashed in a draw as we bought some for OH's nephew when he was born but I couldn't part with one of them :o. I know it is sad but we'd been talking about the possibility of children longer than his brother had been with the girl . Now the damn thing haunts me and I've been tempted to tell my OH to give it to them anyway :(.

Because you're in the TWW or because you're off on hols? I always think I'm going to stop temping after ov to give myself a break but it never happens :rotfl:

I would offer to do the lists for you but I know that sometimes I don't manage to post for several days at a time due to work.

I had a huge temp drop this morning at 7dpo (although still above my coverline), hoping it's the mythical implantation drop but who knows.

    Congratulations Vic! :j

    Welcome Fingers Crossed!

Lots of strange stuff happening to you girls over the weekend, why can't our bodies be straightforward?! :p

Sounds like you've made a good plan there TCD. There are loads of stories of men improving their counts with vitamins and healthy living (and loose pants!) so it's a great idea to give it a go. Even if it doesn't happen naturally, they'll be a lot better for using in IVF *if* it comes to that. :)

I got AF yesterday, so I'm CD2 now. :( Not too upset (I've kind of given up on the idea of getting a BFP now, think I'd keel over in shock if it ever happened!) but I just hate the first 2 days, so painful and heavy! :(

There's a lovely toy shop in my town that's closing down and they've knocked 50% off everything. Popped in to get a present for a friend's LO and bought an adorable cuddly monkey for my brother's baby... but now I can't bear to part with it and I'm keeping it for myself and dreaming about taking weekly progress photos of my own baby with the monkey (which is about the size of a newborn!). :o I'm a mentalist. :p

In happy news, I've booked a holiday for September! :j It's lovely to have something to look forward to, and once I get back I can ask for a referral to a FS. :o

oh becca you got my hopes up, thought you meant you could stop cos you had a bfp!
Birdie yey for holidays, NYC is just under 4 weeks away now, can't wait! i'm contemplating buy some size a million pants for the way home, they're going to have to roll me onto that plane...
TCD fingers crossed you'll be one of those anecdotes 'doctors said she'd need ivf and then bam, pregnant'
AFM in work today, off tuesday wednesday, in thursday, then bank holiday weekend. not too bad but it's suprisingly making me hate today more.
and it's Maundy Thursday on Thursday so technically two years since we got married (actual anniversary 21 April) so i think thinking that has got me feeling down about my lost little one (found out i was pregnant a week after the wedding). would have been around 15 months old now :( but dwelling on should'vebeens does you no good. DH's Auntie believes that sometimes your children have to try several times to get to you (she had five miscarriages, including a set of twins and now has two beautiful children) so i choose to believe that my little angel is having too much fun with her great grandmas to come back to us just yet x

Grrr. Ok. So just been to the GP.

    Went something like this: (paraphrasing)

GP: Are you having sex 14 days after your period starts.
Me: Probably not. I don't ovulate til CD19-23
GP: Nonsense. Just have lots of sex around 14 days after your period. That's when you ovulate.
Me (realising I'm getting nowhere):sigh. Fine.
GP: Also you're a bit overweight so if you lose weight you'll have more chance.
    Me: working on it.
GP: well, we're going to take some blood in the meantime and refer you to the consultant endocrinologist who talked to you like you were 5 last time because he wanted to see you if you were having trouble conceiving. In the meantime lose 10% of your body weight and have sex 14 days after your period. There's probably no need for your husband to visit his GP til we've looked at your prolactin levels again.

Also CD1 which means I must have ovd earlier and the extra ewcm was just a blip. Also means that we did dtd while there was an egg there.

Still, at least it means we'll be able to go on holiday in September because I will be able to fly.

Urgh how annoying Code! Sadly all we can do with misinformed GPs is smile and nod because what can we possibly know that they don't?! Go for the blood tests then as soon as you get the results get your OH to book an appointment, it'll only take a couple of weeks. Actually, he could probably just make his own appointment right now and ask for a SA, just make sure he doesn't see the same stupid GP you saw! :p

Hugs for CD1 too, join me in the wine and chocolate zone! :)
