My excitement has turned to tears tonight. I think it's today that I'm ovulating and we tried to bd this morning and tonight but it didn't happen.

I'm so upset. I feel awful saying this but I'm really angry with hubby. I ovulate for the first time in two years and I get nothing.

I know he can't help it and I know he feels awful but I'm too upset at the moment to massage his ego and reassure him.

I know it's possible for sperm to survive a few days but I really wish we could have done it on the day of ovulation.
    :(

I'm really sorry to hear that and I can only imagine how upset you are. Do really remember that the egg only last hours once it's released whereas the sperm last 4/5 days and some will have made their way up the fallopian tube ready to meet the egg. So recent baby dancing is probably better than doing it on the day of ovulation.

Saying that, is it worth trying again in the morning? Good luck.

Huge hugs. How frustrating for you.

Saying that, I can sympathise with hubby too, if nothing has happened in two years and then suddenly it's happening and he has to perform, it must feel like a lot of pressure for him (even if he wants to). But yes oh so frustrating, hopefully it'll all go to plan if you try again today x

If you did it the day before ov that's probably your best bet anyway fanny anna but I can imagine how frustrated you are. That happened to us once -luckily it worked a couple of hours later but I was trying so hard not to get upset in that space of time.

Twig pig I was gonna say maybe your thermometer is broken but you had static temps last month too! So I'd agree with FF.

Thanks ladies for replying. I did consider this too. Temp went up this morning so must be all ok.

Love the weird and wacky names. Hubby and I figured if we knew someone with a name when we were growing up, it's a possible name. If not, it's not one for us as probably too modern. :)

Oh and I mentioned tummy nerves yesterday. After being up vomiting and in the toilet most of the night, now I know why my tummy was a bit off. Lol

Big hugs Fanny, it is so frustrating when the men don't/can't do their job when timing is so important! At least you had done it before OV so you're still in with a chance. :)

I'm still reeling from the FB shocker last night, it's really thrown me. :( I've been TTC as long as she's been with her BF... how depressing is that?! :(
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Lots of love Birdie, really wish the world was more fair :(

Big hugs fannyanna, it's so frustrating when you have so few chances and it feels like they've blown it, sort of adds to the feeling of powerlessness I think. But don't give up hope, we've seen plenty of ladies on here get their BFPs and say they didn't think they'd BDed enough that month
And I'm sure your next shot will be soon enough :) x

You ladies really are very lovely. Honestly, you’ve all been so supportive over the past few days. I feel a bit bad as I’d been lurking for a while and then feel as if I’ve come back and taken over the board. So thank you very much x

Posting my message last night felt as if I was getting off my chest and I was then able to reassure Hubby. I know it’s not his fault and can’t be helped. Obviously he wanted it to happen too.

We kinda managed to do it this morning (his advances and I kept saying he shouldn’t feel pressure to do anything). I say kinda as there was quite a bit of solo work on his part and then just before the moment arrived he dipped his stick ;)

So I think we’re both relieved that we’re now at the point where we’ve done all that we can. I guess we now just need to sit back and relax (aka jump up and down with frustrated excitement) for the 2ww.

I think I’m going to say today is CD21 and 1dpo so can I be updated on the list please? Also, maybe now that I have had a normal cycle I don’t need to have my own special list (as lovely as it is :))

I'm so glad you managed it, if that doesn't sound too pervy, as I have seen it suggested that IUI is successful most often in cases where they BDed the day after ovulation, but didn't want to say before as I didn't want you to feel bad if it didn't happen today

And 'kinda' still counts, anything that gets the job done lol

Hi all, thanks for your kind words, my TLP has turned to a BFP so I am feeling over the moon! Slightly anxious after 2 MCs in just over 12 months but I'm trying to stay positive. We are not telling family/ friends until we have a scan.

Good luck to everyone, thanks for the support. I hope everyone gets their BFPs soon xxx
