I wouldn't give him any indication of my cycle, choc. Be more alluring when you know it's ov but never tell him when it is. BDing every 2-3 days is the doctor recommended method so I'd try to have it frequently throughout your cycle so there's always fresh sperm there and he can't whine that you only want him for baby making cos he'll have no idea when the right time is

Claire I agree, to the point that I'm not going to track it any more even if we was still properly trying. I get lots of ewcm and my books get sore after so I'll always know when abouts it is but not knowing the definite date stops you counting and getting bogged down with if you can symptom spot yet lol

I tried that, I think now he thinks every time I'm in the mood it's because I've a hidden agenda :rotfl:I only ended up telling him I was OV because I thought it might make a difference, clearly I'm not alluring enough :rotfl:

Exactly I can't SS because I don't even know yet if I definitely ovulated!

Well you're not at the stage where I am where you can't buy a type of food more than once without being asked if its for fertility purposes so don't worry :rotfl: luckily my DH complies to any time of bd but if yours doesn't then you either sit him down with a chart or calendar etc and show him the days you can get pregnant on & those you can't & why, and leaving it up to chance doesn't make sense. Or you do what TL says & just try to seduce him around ov but at other times too so he can't tell! But then yeah I can see how frustrating that is if he then makes an excuse & so then you have to say something... Not easy.

I have to say when I explained to my DH how it all works he realised how hard it is to get pregnant & has started to take a lot more interest.

Fake ov a couple of days before?

Dunno. Mine has promised to be more helpful during ov but we'll see.

A BFN.:( I suppose it was silly to even take a test at 9 dpo but I just got an urge I couldn't resist. It's also a waste of money, this ttc malarkey can get expensive if you let it. My friend, who is a mother of 3, thinks I'm crazy to have bought a CBFM and spend £24 a box on test sticks.

Same Kynthia! A BFN at 10dpo, far too early but I just couldn't resist! We are not out until af shows though but I am expecting af a lot more now and any high hopes I had of being pregnant have been reduced massively. :(

Will still test again on Sunday if no af though.

My OH and I discussed getting a CBFM for this next cycle but agreed we would try another one with cheap opk's and see but I have said that I would like a monitor if we don't have any success next cycle. My birthday comes after the next cycle so I'll be 36 and don't want to waste anymore time, it's just a shame the monitor and the sticks are so expensive.

Hope it clears up soon Becca!

I had to have some swabs done this morning and I know I’m being very paranoid but I’m hoping it hasn’t interfered with any implantation possibilities following ovulation (because I have of course had an Easter miracle and this out of the blue egg has been fertilised :D).

They were supposed to be vaginal swabs but she used a speculum and seemed to go quite deep. I’m trying to reassure myself that the worst she did was swab my cervix and that’s still fine as if there was a fertilised egg the lowest it would go would be my uterus.

She also used lubricant and obviously that kills sperm off. I guess as I’m 2 days past ovulation I don’t really need to be too concerned about that.

Someone reassure me that it’s fine :o.

    Fanny anna you're fine :)

The egg won't be implanting anywhere outside of your cervix so don't panic!

And yes the egg will be gone 2 days after plus the good sperm would be well on their way by now anyway.

    So you can relax!
