If Paypal doesn't ask for this what is to stop me selling 11 items to buyers in Glasgow, only sending 10 and using one of those 10 tracking numbers to fight off the 11th buyer's INR claim. Nothing is the answer which is why Paypal will ask for proof of the address the parcel was sent to.
The OP has tracking data to provide PP(In this case if we stick to specifics)
unless the buyer disputes this, then that would be enough for PP0 -
So you don't actually know loonie?
No I don't know but equally I only have your word that you do know and whilst the User Agreement states the tracking should show:
"The recipient’s address, showing at least the city/county or postcode (or international equivalent)."
Seller Support (the top level below having an individual account manager) if it just said "Delivered from our Glasgow delivery office" they would ask for proof the parcel was sent to the address on the transaction page as this is equally part of the seller protection criteria:
"Post the item to the shipping address on the “Transaction Details” page. "
Personally I think you'd be very lucky to win an INR with RM's vague online tracking details without being asked for proof of the address and I think you'd be even more lucky for the buyer not to question/appeal not getting a refund should you be lucky enough to win the first time around. In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0 -
I have no issue with your thinking. But that's all it is.
Royal Mail have an epod system, which custardy will know more about than me. It's a locator on the unit which you sign and shows when and where the item was signed for. An investigation by them should show any discrepency.
If you google "buyer claims not received special delivery", many posts come up stating that the seller won. None come up with being asked to scan a receipt.
So you don't need to take my word for it - slightly insulting though that may be. The facts are that paypal, despite their terms, side with the seller.0 -
Out of interest custardy I've been told by RM that they can check the GPS location of the scanner when a Tracked parcel is scanned as delivered, is this true and if so does that also apply to SD?In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0

Facts based loosely on a few threads in random forum?
The seller protection policy states you must provide Paypal with reasonable documentation upon request to show you have met the terms, as above, one of which is posting to the address on the transaction page. If you don't get asked for this again you are lucky because if I was the buyer and I really didn't have my item I want proof it had been sent to me not just randomly delivered anywhere within a major city.In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0 -

Why then does this forum exist? If you think like that, then all info is useless unless you have personal experience.0 -

any item scanned on a PDA has this data0 -
As posted above - yes
Umm where it was stated the exact location of the PDA could be ascertained? Why then does this forum exist? If you think like that, then all info is useless unless you have personal experience.
Well in this case based on what's written in Paypal's UA and what Paypal customer services have said hold more weight that a very small % of disputes that would have been mentioned on the boards.
If OP wins then good for them (as I would guess it went to the correct address as above) but for those reading, keeping proof your item was sent to the address on the transaction page, along side the tracking, would be wise.In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0 -
Ok continuing from where I left off, I spoke to RM today and they said the driver was unsure of the address on the parcel and ended up leaving a SPECIAL DELIVERY parcel with one of the neighbors. They also said they would not have delivered the item to a postcode that does not exist (in that door number) so it must have gone to the neighbor of the correct recipient who claimed she passed it onto the buyer.
I then asked if a special delivery is allowed to "just be passed" to a neighbor of an address that the delivery driver thinks might be the correct address?
She replied, NO.0
