  • None so blind as those who can't see.

At least those with a horse in the race can blame the blinkers for their tunnel vision. Equally easy to tell those who are so far off the pace that what little vision they may have had left is just obscured by all the turf and clover kicked up by the front runners.

Could yet go to a photo finish or even stewards enquiry and maybe some of the runners are straight out of the Godolphin stables and think they have a clear advantage.

Times like this I turn to the bookies to see what they are doing!Don't anyone tear their slips up just yet as may all be declared null and void.

Oh, 1000-1 against me and Klover ever having shared the same stable, horse box or even race track.

At least those flaming pellets can't build up on the stable floor under my hooves anymore, spooked me something rotten.

Latest update is MCZ Club/Suite/Musa Hydro 15 and 22 kW stoves have had their certification withdrawn. What isn't clear to me is those with registered units will RHI payments stop until they are fixed? Not a good conclusion anyway you look at it.

Also to note there is no mention of the issue on SpecFlues website! there was before the withdrawal when they were just suspended. I'll ring them in the morning see what there story is.

    Dear SpecFlue

I've just read the latest news on MCS's website re. the withdrawal of MCS certification for the MCZ Hydro products. I wonderered if you cared to comment on the issue on the forum thread you joined MSE to contribute too.

Many thanks concerned MCZ Club Hydro owner. (Swampy2)

  • I am pretty sure the musa has its mcs back, and it has been confirmed that the issue was with bad installations not a bad product but they have released an add on which can be fitted which in the case of a bad installation or poorly maintained installation will avoid the glass from breaking

Will specflue be coming out to fix those stoves, whose original installers went bust?

swampy stay in touch on mse please, we value your input. I also sent a contact e mail
  • Confirms of course what has always been stated all along that the stoves are not safe as they are and were not fit for certification as is.

Love to see the report, we fitted blast proof doors and glass and replicated a huge fuel build up and ignited this. The couple sat watching TV in front of it are fine , however the hole in the ceiling is something to behold, not sure if that's the Northern Lights or the vapour trail from the ceramic lid I can see?

More of an expected updraught than a sudden and unexpected down one.

    Klover's / piazetta sales rep back again.....:rotfl::T

The MCZ Musa hydro stoves have their mcs certification back which proves the exact opposite of what you have said and that the product is fine and safe but like any boiler when not installed and /or maintained correctly it can be dangerous.

And as sales numbers are multiple times that of other stove boilers on the market and only three reported issues caused by poor install/maintained its not a bad record!

Club Musa and Suite 15 and 22 kW hydro products have all had their MCS certification withdrawn. According to BREAK and MCS
  • Holding such a senior position in the clover as I do it appears I can't post links on here so have resorted to cut and paste from the info supplied to me.

Following the previous announcements concerning the MCZ Suite, Club, and Hydro products, BRE Global Ltd have now concluded their investigation.
The currently suspended products have now had their product certification withdrawn by BRE. No new registrations of these products may be made on the MCS Installation Database. Please see the full announcement on the BRE website here.
Following the investigation, MCZ has developed a safety device which may be fitted to the products. Details regarding the fix and safety device should be obtained from Specflue, their UK distributor:

If the "here" link above does not work then the cut and paste is :-

The MCS product certification of the following MCZ products, which had been suspended by BRE Global, was withdrawn on 6 February 2015. Consequently no new registrations of these products may be made on the MCS Installation Database

Specflue seem in the dark as usual but the original plan leaked for blast doors has now morphed into adding a weaker link into the chain and some pressure release bolts on the top of the heat exchanger. The Kafkaesque solution no doubt.LOW FLYING PLANES BEWARE
