Switching earlier might still be advantageous, if there were no cancellation fee, and the deal you were switching to was particularly good (and likely to shortly be withdrawn say).

I'm on the Scottish Power fixed until the end of October one, there is no cancellation fee, the M&S product is more but like you say there's always the chance it may be withdrawn soon.

Indeed, I'm contemplating doing exactly the same switch. And of course the QuidCo £100 cashback expires in a day.....

Thing that worries me is when you go to m and s via quidco site first thing they ask for is your bank accouny details!

Well I've gone for it, but what a palaver.

1st attempt I got an 'Oops an error has occurred' error.

2nd attempt I got a 'Your session has timed out' error.

3rd attempt, it appears to have completed OK, but I got a message at the end saying "Sorry, we've had a problem sending your confirmation email. Please call us on 0800 294 3263* so we can sort this out for you." (yet they have successfully sent me a couple of other emails).

This doesn't bode well, what have I done?!

Goodness knows whether QuidCo will have tracked.

Hmmm, I was just about to try, if you phone them doesn't it invalidate the cashback? I think I'll leave it a while.

To guarantee cash back the transaction has to be completed 100% online.

The M&S offer on Quidco ends today. Mine tracked within 24 hours.
