My tariff information is still not showing up, but the livechat service isn't working, it states that there are no advisors available and since i'm not being put in a queue i think there's a technical issue with the chat itself.
I'm now seeing my credit without any problems however, there must've been some improvement to the website over the last day because now it also shows an estimate of how long the credit will last at current usage.
Cheers.
Hello K.S. and glad there seems to be some improvement in what you're seeing online. As above, we did have various issues with our systems last week and these had a knock on effect on the website.
The offline message on our Live Chat service is shown when all the advisors are busy with customers. There isn't, as yet, a queuing service. This has proved a very popular service with over 100K chats since it was launched last year so we're currently looking to beef up the number of advisors working it. Going forward, this will mean you won't see the offline message so often. If you need them, our Chatters are available now as I post this.
Hope you continue to try Live Chatting K.S. Helena and I are here, though, if you need us.

Just announcing my departure from Eon. I got a 2 year fix with PFP - which seemed sensible given the expected energy price hikes.
I hung on to my v19 till the very last minute!
I'm a reluctant leaver though.
Thanks for all your help Malc. Maybe I'll be back some day. .
You're welcome pineapple. Happy to have helped and sorry to lose you but understand why.

While the balances were showing up fine for a little while, they're back to being difficult.
The response i got from the query gave me a link with tips on how to use my energy monitor but did not offer any advice about my missing tafiff information... it also said that there were ongoing technical issues, but i've had the balances problem since i switched to smart meters almost 9 months ago now.
Thanks.0 -
how should i go about talking to someone? do i just leave the chat window open waiting for someone to say something? do i refresh the site every 5 minutes to see if OFFLINE has changed to ONLINE?

The latter K.S. Please keep refreshing until it says 'Chat Now.'
Just checked and advisors are online now.

@eon rep
Just about to sign up to a new supplier but could you help.
My account will be in debit by £10 plus the usage I use before I move.
Would Eon stop the switch from happening or do I need to pay the debit before I move?
Also roughly how long does the switch take as I am trying to time it right so I keep my collective deal that ends in 4 weeks going for as long as possible?
Thanks0 -

Hello you_llneverwalkalone and, on the face of it, I wouldn't expect any objections to a switch with a debt of £10. Your current usage isn't a debt as we haven't billed it yet.
Usually, objections for debt come about where the balance is over £200, the debt is over 28 days old or we've sent a formal request for payment more than 28 days ago (this doesn't include a first reminder).
The time taken to change supplier depends on whether or not the company taking over has signed up to Faster Switching (most have but there are exceptions). If they have, it usually takes about two and half weeks to switch. Where they haven't, it can take a couple of weeks or so longer.
As you're on a Collective fixed deal with only 4 weeks to run, you'll be inside the Price Protection window (open 49 calendar days before the tariff end date until 20 working days after). Provided the new supplier contacts us within this window, we'll keep you on the cheaper prices whilst the switch goes through. Exit fees also don't apply whilst the Price Protection window is open.
Sorry to lose you you_llneverwalkalone and hope this helps.

Thanks for your help Malc much appreciated.
Only reason for the move is price. Eon are not competitive anymore.
Shame really as I,ve never had a problem with Eon & I think you are one of the better energy companies I,ve used up to date.0 -
