In my region ,v7 is actually worse than v6 - in money terms £1420pa vs £1382 pa (vs the current super cheap collective EON deal of £1082):eek:
That's strange brewerdave. As above in my reply to FOREVER21, electricity is the same on version 7 as 6 but the gas has changed in some regions but not others. The unit rates per kWh are actually slightly lower so confused as to why it's coming up as more expensive for you. Standing charges haven't changed at all. What region are you in brewerdave? I'll check.

Malc, didn't bother to calculate from actual usage myself -those monetary numbers are what your site showed me on the weekend (v6) and on Wednesday (v7) when I clicked on "get a quote" button. I'm in South Wales.:)

EDIT -I think I know what is going on -the quote is based on my assumed usage -and that doesn't seem to be the same from day to day - just looked this morning and the assumed usage is slightly different from Wednesdays!!! Altho' I didn't write them down I'm sure that the leccy usage figure is higher today than it was last weekend!

Just checked for South Wales (electricity area 21) brewerdave and the unit prices/standing charges are the same for both versions 6 and 7.

Suspect you're right. If you're using the assumed usage on the 'your quote' page when logged in to our website, this can vary as it's based on Average Daily Consumption. Although this usually changes after readings are received whether or not they're used for billing.

I doubt anyone is kicking around at this hour but i'm having a bit of a problem with my EON account, i can no longer see tariff information... when i click the + to show tariff information, the space where the information should be is just a thin white line.

Otherwise EON is fine anyway, it was the cheapest when i picked it up, though there are cheaper now... but i'm having a hard time comparing as i spend varying amounts by the week and i also use smart meters with prepayment so sites tend not to accommodate this, they will either have a prepayment option or a direct debit option.

    Cheers.

Just a quick protip for those of you whose collective ended today: If you stayed with E.ON and switched to booked a switch to their v5 or v6 saver tariff, check if the v7 is the same price (or cheaper) - it was the exact same price for me, but from today I was able to book a switch to that "new" v7 tariff to start in 52 days time - meaning I get an extra 52 days fixed at the current prices.

I've just tried now and it is displaying correctly for me. Try again and if still not showing then you'll need to contact E.ON.:(

Does anyone know how I would find out what EON tariffs were available on 7th July 2016? This is for an E7 DD customer.
EON put my dad on a single rate and he has ended up paying more than £600 more. It's been backdated to the standard tariff but I am wondering what was available in July last year to compare what he could've been on, TIA

Hello K.S. and sorry you had problems with our website last night. Sometimes, during the night, we do website maintenance or put though upgrades but I wasn't aware of anything like that happening last night. I've just checked and all seems okay. If you're still struggling try what gsmlnx suggests and have another go. Let me know if you're still unable to see that particular page.

Apart from this, glad things are fine K.S.

I only know about the single rate tariffs, but I think the E7 version numbers match the single rate version numbers.

In which case it would have been fixed v20, certainly that was the single rate version of the tariff at that time.

You'd have to hit up a PCW for the rates on that plan, although the current V21 single is actually the same unit rate/dsc as V20, just without rewards so the current E7 version might be the same.

Spot on razord. Customers can forward switch through our website by up to 52 days in the future. No need to worry if the chosen tariff is removed from sale before this. Once a future date has been chosen, it'll be locked in and customers will still be able to go on to the tariff on the chosen date.

I still can't see my tarrif information, it was working roughly a week ago when i last checked so this is kinda outa the blue, never had a problem with this before, 9 times out of 10 the site fails to display my meters credits, but never this plain block of text just up and vanishing.

Any help you can offer would be appreciated as always Malc.

    Cheers.
  • MSE comparison quoted me as "Top Pick" E.ON Saver Fixed 1 Year v7 as £359/yr but when I went on to the E.ON site they quoted £512.31/yr. Whats up doc?
